E-Mail Notification Problems

I had E-mail Notification of New Private Messages and Instant E-Mail Thread Subscription turned on and subscribed some of my threads, but since the User Ranks were turned on, it was like cancelled.

So I checked my options to see if anything's wrong, but they're the same as before.
And then, I redid the options and they're still cancelled.

What gives?

Someone else just recently made a thread about this, but now I can't find it. ;_;

It's happening to a bunch of people just like the time screw-up, apparently it's just another bug that came about from the forums going down.
