Today, Sony announced that it's new controller wouldn't be the boomerang that people were so looking forward to but would in fact be a slightly different version of the Dual Shock 2.

As the article says, Sony have decided to implement the same type of sensors for their controller that the Wii has meaning. This does show that Nintendo is at the forefront of technology now that Sony have gone and nicked the idea but Sony seemed to have made a bit of a mess with it in the process. They've taken out the rumble sensors meaning there will be no feed back and it can't do things like shooting, fighting or swordplay etc.

Expect Nintendo's response in a couple of hours.

Actually, it was Kirby's Tilt & Tumble that first had tilt sensitive technology.

Anyway, I think they should have sticked to normal plans and maybe just get a few ideas from Nintendo if any. Well, at least it's better than the XBox 360.

lol, that pic's brilliant. I saw another with a Nintendo head revealing the Wiimote in 2005 with a caption "I give you the new way to play games!" and next it was a pic of a Sony head in 2011 revealing the PS4-mote and a caption saying "I give you the new way to play games!" Sadly, it's all too true.

Sony is unoriginal. We've all said it. We all know it. They copy what is successful by other gaming companies (aka Nintendo), and then they can't even think up a name to go along with it. Everything they put out is Playstation #.

Yes, Sony stole the idea. But, the PS3 is going to be $500 to $600. Without some sort of gimmick, they would lose all their money that they put into the PS3. All the PS3 is, is better graphics and horsepower. (Now that I think about it, I kind of do wish that Nintendo would patent their products.) So, Sony stole Nintendo's idea to save their behinds
