• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

LMFAOOOOO NO. You are probably wrong unfortunately
This is why we get a lot of bad rep in this forum you are literally pissing off both sides of the amourshipping spectrum.

Imagine being so stubborn to the point of negate the SIGNIFICANT development in Serena's character from her XY version.
Yeah I agree even if you're looking at this episode in an amourshipping lens their 30 second reunion was a huge amour moment even though it would be kinda sad if there was no follow up to the reunion I don't think that should taint this episodes quality at all

Even if amourshipping wasn't considered in this episode, it's still such a good episode that actually SHOWS how Serena's development in XY helped her achieve success in Hoenn as a successful idol, allowed her to be the Aria to someone else and be a mentor, and be very popular. How is that NOT something 'new' from XY?
No one is saying a one episode can supplement her growth and development much better than a 140 episode series arc for her
It's just this episode shows the fruit bearing of that arc

Should you be surprised from the user who only sees Serena as a prop for the 10-year old Ash having a girlfriend and not as a character and also doesn't give a **** about her career and dreams?
Well thankfully cricket is gone. But it would really sting for us if JN105 was the last time we're gonna see Ash and Serena interact with each other which is most likely the case considering the recent info we had.

Well one of the small things that I like in this episode is that Serena's voice sounded really different throughout the episode and then when she called out to ash she sounded like her XY voice once again

Maybe it was only my imagination but did it feel a little unintentionally dramatic when Serena turned around to meet Chloe and we see who it was? Anyway Altaria seems to be getting a lot of attention, its kinda odd to see episodes focus on the same mon back to back though I guess it could be some kind of coincidence. Not sure what the deal is with Ash's battle being mostly off screen and even the contest was not shown that much? Strange camera decisions aside I will say that this episode was not bad. Serena seems to have grown a bit and their reunion seemed good, albeit brief. After the disappointment with Sir Fetched's Meteor attack, I was happy to watch someone use Draco Meteor which properly had projectiles raining down from the sky.

Clearly, she was looking at the audience to show off her new womanly look.

Filler so that the universe can keep Ash far away from Serena having just Chloe around.

We didn't know 100% until the day of the episode that serena would appear, so I'm thinking it was very intentional.

It's been exactly a year since this episode aired the internal development Serena showed was just inspiring and the reunion between her and Ash may not have the quantity of time but it sure did have the quality of the moment
