What's the point in watering berries with the Wailmer Pail? It seems to be a complete waste of time - I've watered them over and over again, and nothing about them changes.. (in other words, they still pack the same number of berries)

You need ot water them once at every stage.
If you water them 5 times at the start, I don't think that you'll get two of the rare berries.

the point of watering the berries is that if you water them at the appropriate time with the appropriate amount of water they will produce the max number of berries..... some can vary from 1-2 berries or 3-4 it's just to get the extra berry or so
