I need help with Emerald. Why can't I trade EGGS from Ruby,Sapphire,FireRed,and LeafGreen to Emerald? Thanks in advanced...
yeah i used codes...so wat u mean? explain a bit slowly...gregjammer said:Did you cheat in your Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, and LeafGreen to get the Eggs??? If the answer's yes, then you probably might want to use factory reset if you used a GS/AR/CB code that only affects the save file to get the Eggs... By the way, the Factory Reset trick is done by pressing Up, Select, B at the same time at the GBA loading screen, but be warned, once you use that trick, say good-bye to your save file and everything you've accomplished, since the Factory Reset trick restores the cartridge's condition to brand-new again, meaning Pokemon obtained in past save files are gone w/ the old file. So is the Options screen's visibility to you... But if you used a code that damages the cartidge...
Then you'll get this:
;000;
Because Factory Reset does not fix physical damage accepted by the cartridge thanks to cheat devices, and not only do GS codes don't go away, but I heard that unlike AR's codes, which only affect the save file, GS codes can permanently destroy your cartridge to boot... And that's not good...
By the way, no cheating device discussion here...
But if the answer's no, then I don't know what's your problem: If you got the ND in Emerald, and if you're trying to trade from R/S, then it should process the trade...
i used an action replay...Occorru said:Well the only possibility is if you have ever used a gameshark on your game.

So is their another way to get MEW and DEOXYS in Emerald without a Nintendo Event?gregjammer said:Translation of quote:
It's just like simple computer mechanics. A code that only affects the save file is a code that alters the wild pokemon and/or their status, and only if they're wild... But I heard that you can trade pokemon cheated in R/S to another R/S game only, and if that's true, then you can't trade cheated pokes from R/S into Fr/Lg/Em because Fr/Lg/Em is like the "traffic cop" when it comes to checking the Pokemon from R/S and keeping an eye on moves from the R/S game to make sure that cheated pokes don't go into Fr/Lg/Em via GBA link cable, meaning trading cheated eggs from R/S to Fr/Lg/Em is not possible unless you cheat to force them in... But if you cheated to make your pokemon breed, that's different, as breeding is not wild, so you're more likely to get Missingno. because codes that don't involve the Random Access Memory(Video game data is just like the data in a computer, so we can use computer terms here because in order to solve problems like yours, we need to know what is permanent memory, and what's not...) of the pokemon game affects the cartridge, contain the non-wild Pokemon mechanics such as your sprites, how they move, mechanics, etc., are just like Read Only Memory in a computer, and they cannot be altered in any way, shape or form w/o destroying the game to boot, and disabling Factory Reset's ability to fix your game in the process. That's not good... However, if Fr/Lg/Em can indeed reject cheated pokes, then there must be some mechanic that reads the Secret ID number that determines whether or not the poke will obey you. A Trainer ID and a Pokemon ID has two parts: Visible and invisible. Remember that the Secret ID is invisible to you, and only the game knows it. And if the Secret ID number of the pokemon is not congruent to that of the Trainer, then no wonder the trade won't work: The Secret IDs of the Trainer and that of the Pokemon are not congruent, and that's a no-go... If you know all that, then you can determine whatever your problem can be fixed w/ Factory Reset or not... If it can't be fixed, then buy a new copy of whatever version you cheated on... But if it can be fixed...

If you must have them, Shark responsibly. There are Action Replay codes that allow you to obtain and activate the Aurora Ticket and Old Sea Chart, with relatively low risk to your game. But, since I believe that Sharking your game is akin to writing, "I have Mew!" on a piece of paper, I'm not going to tell you the codes or where to find them. I will, however, point you in the right direction:~Wondering Legend~ said:So is their another way to get MEW and DEOXYS in Emerald without a Nintendo Event?
