Eggs and shineys

If you hatch an egg, will it show the pokemon is shiney in the hatching screen or do i have to check the ststus?

i think you have to check the status,im not quite sure,but im 85 precent sure.

it shows that its shiny but wont have the chime till you send it out to battle.

^ That is the correct answer, it will be the shiny color, but you won't see the stars around it or anything.
