Elemental Quest Version 2

RPG is Up now, late sign-ups will be accepted.

Okay, this is version 2 of elemental quest. I’ve tried to rework the system and reorganize things so that the concept gets across better. I’ve also added a little more info on what chii devices you may have. This version may seem a little strict, but it should play smoother. And Late Sign-ups will be possible in this version, which also means it can start sooner.

Setting/Plot:

This RPG takes place in a magical medieval world. In this world exist spirits, known as chii. These are merely spirits with elemental alignments. Most chii do not have personalities or names, nor can they talk. They are not the ghost of humans or animals; they have never been alive as we know life. There are ghosts in this world, but they aren’t chii, and they may only be elementally aligned if they were a wizard.

A chi cannot be battled with directly, but rather one catches it to obtain its power. This is done through the use of a chii device. When a chii is used in a chii device, it is torn apart molecule by molecule. In other words when you use a chii it is gone. Don’t worry, you won’t hurt them, their energy will be dispersed to eventually recollect and form new chii. The chii device then exhibits elemental powers. There will be no chii pets allowed in this new version, because I can’t have you getting attached to them! You may start out with a chii or two in your bag, but be prepared to use it or for someone else to use it. Please make sure you understand the concept of chii before signing up, ask questions if you must.

In this RPG you will play as a thirteen year old human from a small village. Upon turning thirteen every child is given a chii device (or similar) by their family to help them on their quest to become a man or woman. See the chii device section for you class for your chii device options. After that they travel to the town square where they receive their manhood/womanhood quest. Once at the village square and elder of your class will approach you and assign you to a quest. Your quest will be relevant to your class in this version, but may be different from other people in your classes’ quest.

Below are some example quests and possible classes sent on them:
(I will be assigning your quests)

You will travel to the field of speaking crystals, and return with one crystal each, however be on your guard for the crystals’ guardian Fiona, will try to trick you. (Possible classes assigned; hunter, merchant, banker, wizard, gypsy)

You will slay the vampire lord freeing the farmers he is holding hostage. Take care not to become his slaves yourself. (Possible classes assigned; noble, hunter, warrior)

You will go to meet the Malzin, wizard of the seas, from there you will travel to where the ice exists as land; bring back a bird from this icy world. (Possible classes assigned; wizard, hunter, monk)

After you have received your quest assignment, you are free to leave on your quest. You may choose to go it alone or gang up with other people who are heading off on other quests. If you gang up you may only bunny other’s characters if you obtain their permission. Anyone who bunny’s repeatedly or especially god-like may be asked to leave the RPG.

Chii types:

Fire- Fire chii usually appear as flames or salamanders. While fire chii create flaming weapons the side affects of use may include chii-device being to hot to handle with bare hands.

Water- Water chii usually appears as water drops or water critters. May appears as nymphs. They tend to like being used in chii-devices and may seek out humans. Water chii are very useful to farming chii-devices, they can however be used to make non-lethal weapons such as water cannons.

Grass- Grass chii usually appear as plants or seeds. May appears as nymphs. Do not have much use in non-farming chii-devices.

Earth(Rock/Metal)- Earth chii usually appear as stones or bugs. Tend to avoid humans and do not like being used in chii-devices. However when used in a chii-device weapon, the weapon it is greatly reinforced.

Wind- Wind chii usually appear as bats, bugs or birds. Very hard to catch, but will allow the used to fly for a brief time with certain chii-devices.

Decay- Decay chii usually appear as mushrooms. They are very dangerous and should be avoided. They often cause very harmful side effects corroding your chii device or your body if you are a wizard/witch/sorcerer. They are however very friendly and like to help people. Often during the wet seasons they can be heard singing in the forests.
___

Classes, in rank hierarchy:(I’m not excepting non-humans or alternate classes in this version; I’m trying to eliminate the confusion of the previous version. There are slight changes to some classes and a new class Hunter has been added as well. If you wish to be a healer, sign up as a smith [doctor] or a monk [religious healer].)

Nobles (Lords/Ladies) - Leaders of the people, originally intended for the good of the people most nobles are now corrupt.

Chii Device: Nobles usually do not have chii-devices, but rather talismans that contain the souls of their ancestors. These spirits may help them on their quest, but that is the only value of these talismans.

Wizards/Witches- Magic users infused with elemental power, they do not need chii-devices or chii to use elemental magic. They may be aligned and cast spells from one or more elements naturally. For addition elemental spells they will need a gauntlet. They cannot use non-elemental spells like sorcerers can. Both Wizards and Sorcerers inherit their magic. Wizards, unlike sorcerers have great logic, and often make puzzles to test one another’s skills.

Chii Device: They usually have a staff to amplify their power rather than a chii-device. They may also carry a flying broom or a gauntlet that allows them to do all types of elemental spells.

Sorcerers- Magic users who use non-elemental spells. Both Wizards and Sorcerers inherit their magic. Sorcerers have little logic, particularly in the area of math, so they are not allowed to handle money. Common belief is a sorcerer with logic would do something stupid and destroy the earth, because they have magic, but are not attuned to nature.

Chii Device: They can work staffs, gauntlets, and wands with the help of chii to do elemental spells.

Monks- Religious leaders trained in fighting. Monks are however not sent to protect the town unless all warriors are dead; instead they train the warriors, mind, body and soul. Monks and warriors often receive free food from villagers.

Chii Device: Common chii-devices are enchanted books or bo (fighting staff, not to be confused with magic staff). They books work as a sort of magical encyclopedia delivering much more information than could fit in a normal book that size. The bo when loaded with chii will create elemental based non-lethal attacks; gusts of wind, sprays of water, and fiery sparks.

Warriors- Fighters trained by the monks. Most are orphans or children of parents to poor to take care of them. Monks and warriors often receive free food from villagers.

Chii Device: Common chii-devices include swords and other weapons. These weapons create dangerous and possibly deadly attacks when loaded with chii; tornado strikes, water cannons, and the ever popular flaming sword.

Smiths- Makers of weapons and other goods. A deli or a doctors’ office (the kind who’s practice involved leeches of course) also fall into this category because they make their own good/services, a pub would fall under merchant because they import wine and beer.

Chii Device: Usually receive a chii version of a tool of their trade. For example a blacksmith may receive a hammer and a doctor a scalpel. These objects will be affected by chii, but results may vary.

Farmers/Ranchers- Growers of crops and raisers of livestock. They can usually find food in the woods.

Chii Device: Usually receive a chii version of a tool of their trade, such as a hoe that can water the field at the same time as plowing when provided with a water chii.

Hunter: Hunters may either hunt food animals, fish, and foul OR they may be monster hunters. They can usually find food in the woods.

Chii Device: May be a weapon such as a sword, dagger, bow & arrow, or bo.

Bankers- Bankers are looked down upon because of their contact with everyone’s money. Always have money for supplies.

Chii Device: Their chii-devices are usually rare and expensive, and occasionally they have more than one. Examples; Moral compasses (points to the path you should take), chii compass (points to a pre-chosen type of chii), chii clothing, (protect wearer through chii effects).

Gypsies- Wanders who get food and make money through entertainment. Come into a village for Quest Day. May have a weak form of magic. Can usually find food in the woods.

Chii Device: Usually have a piece of clothing or a flying broom as a chii-device. May also have a bo.

Merchants- Sellers of processed foods and rare items from other lands. Merchants are the lowest class, because they are considered greedy and do not have to inherit their position. Often travel with an animal. See the smiths class for more info.

Chii Device: Merchants usually do not have chii-devices because they sold them or their families/guardians were too ashamed of their choice of occupation. So instead, you may want to put in a pet (animal not chii).

Class: Read all the classes before choosing, each has advantages and disadvantages.

Chii-Device or Similar: What’s your device?

Appearance: What do you look like?

Backpack Contents: Make sure all items would really fit in a backpack.

Personality: What are you like?

History: How did you get to this point in life?

___

Me:

Name: Amos

Class: Sorcerer

Chii-Device: Gauntlet- Left hand, brown leather with a white C on the upper side of the palm. Inside is lined with medium blue fabric that shows on the turned down part of the arm.

Appearance: Amos is about five feet tall with longish blonde hair and sparkly blue eyes. He wears dark blue robes with a magenta belt. He has a magenta witch style hat with a dark blue band. He also wears thick brown leather boots with gold plated latches.

Backpack Contents: 2 meals, 3 jars for storing chii or potions, and one metal earth chii bug (in one of the jars).

Personality: Amos is lazy, but not on purpose, magic takes a lot of energy and he has low stamina. His father encouraged it by repeating a worn out phrase, “Never wake a Sorcerer.” He is however a hard worker while he is awake, he’s just not awake very often. He is afflicted with the usual sorcerer logic problem, he cannot comprehend math higher than 1+2. So, while he tried hard he usually failed in school.

History: Amos’ father is a sorcerer, and a great maker of potions. He is not as lazy as his son, but often falls asleep in the potion room. He is also very forgetful and has a magic hat to remind him of important dates and appointments. Amos looks up to his father very much.
Amos’ mother is a rancher of sheep and chickens. She also makes butter and cheese. Her chickens look a bit odd and lay funny eggs, because Amos’ father has fed them magical scraps.
Amos first discovered his magic at the age of six while taking butter to the monks for his mother. The young warriors were out on a training exercise and mistook him for their target surrounding him. He managed to produce a magic shield to protect himself. The monastery leaders were rather embarrassed, and gave him extra coins to give to his mother. That was the last time he ever handled money.

Well here's my old Sign-up (sticking with Lyra^^) so let me know if I need to change anything because I might need to.
Name: Lyra

Class: Gypsie. Lyra is part of a circus that travels around in the spring. They always have a roughly set route and time, unless delayed by weather or roadblocks caused by weather. Her act was type-rope walking and she's even trying to figure out a dance on one, but she finds it alot harder balancing on the rope while in constant fast motion.

Chii-Device or Similar: Lyra has two little orbs that she can attach onto her balancing pole. She finds them a bit annoying and heavy. The purpose of these orbs is they shift weight in Lyra's balancing pole at her will, making it easier or harder to walk across logs, rope etc. She can also shift the weight to hit enemies harder. She can also take the orbs off the pole and throw them at an enemy but she doesn't have a good aim and she doesn't want to lose the orbs.

Appearance: Lyra has her ringletted hair dyed a bright red and it's usually tied up in a bun, unless she is performing. Then it's either put up in some whacky way or it's let down, when it is, it reaches down to about her ribcage. Her eyes are a light brown and goes slightly well with her hair colour. Her clothes consist of a faded orange mini, short-sleeved, blouse and brown shorts, covered in a maroon sleeveless dress that has yellow rimmings. Her dress has four slits, dividing the bottom into four different pieces.

Backpack Contents: two tomatoes, four carrots, a few slices of bread, a canteen full of water and a short rope.

Personality: Lyra can be a dependant but if she's in a group she expects everyone to help out, as long as they don't get in her way. She only acts this way towards this way to people around her own age or younger, she's too polite to most adults. But if it's an adult she doesn't like, she'll pull dramatic faces behind their back or to their face. Too sum it up, Lyra is independant, a bit stubborn, a bit immature and isn't afraid to speak her mind.

History: Lyra was born by unmarried parents and is afraid to let that show incase people tease her or treat her with disdain. Her and her mother made up a story that Lyra's father died a long long time ago. Since Lyra doesn't really care about her father, who probably doesn't even know she exists, she decided to work in the circus with her mother. But a few other kids in the circus knew that Lyra's father isn't dead and teased her alot about it. One day, Lyra got so POed at them that she started attacking one of the boys. She was actually winning but the adults pulled her off the boy. That only made people treat her with more disdain since she attacked a boy but she didn't care. Her mother used to read her stories about princesses and knights who would save them but Lyra made up her mind. She wouldn't wait for others to do the work and take the glory. She would do it herself. But, suprisingly, she's not cold towards strangers.

Bandana; yeah, you need to change it... I've eliminated all the alternate classes, so you go back to being a gypsie... and no chii pets, they were part of the chii misconceptions. You should re-read my first post. Now know this isn't personal, I thought you did a good job in version 1, but I gotta keep tight rules if I'm gonna get this to play right.

Sorry >.< I have a bad habit of skimming things. Anyway, I got Plammen out of my Sign-Up and I changed Entertainer to Gypsie (I probably spelt it wrong o_O) but that's all since I think that what Lyra does is basically classified as Gyspsie but I'm not entirely ssure.

The Compromise
...I guess his healing power has to go, then. XD Never mind. I like him as a noble... His sword experience will make up for any dissadvantages from his lack of power. XD

Form:

Name: Tibalt. Tibalt Brenwy. Pronounced Bren – wee. Please get it right. I’ve lived my entire life with being called Brenwhy by ignorant servants, and I find it upsetting, to say the least. I had them… educated, of course, but I’d prefer not to do that when it’s not necessary.

Gender: Male. What else with a name like mine?

Class: Noble, of course. The name is normally a big tip off. How many commoners do you see wandering around with a name like Tibalt? Not many, dear friend, not many.

Chii-Device or Similar: An amulet, as is custom. The Brenwy house has long supervised the courts of justice, so our ancestors’ powers are usually passed down in the form of a close-fitting, mottled green cloth bracelet. Why cloth, you ask? As a safe guard against robbery. We may be rich, but we are not fools. To flaunt our most prized items are to attract unwanted attention, a lesson some nobles learn the hard way. Our knowledge of the law and the reports from our attendants who sit in every case that passes through Justice’s doors has cautioned us to be wary. A very good thing indeed.

Appearance: Comely, if not handsome. I have been told that I have finely sculpted features, from my full lips to my grey eyes. My hair falls in abundant russet curls around my shoulders to go with the current style, or so my barber tells me. I personally hate it long, and plan to cut it the day I escape this golden cage, but until then I have to keep it in check with a feathered brown felt hat, which does the trick nicely. I must admit I am rather fond of it, although it is a bother to remember. I find myself misplacing it in the oddest of places.

On my general attire, I usually dress in a creamy satin tunic and mud brown breeches, wide rather than close fitting to keep me cool. My feet are usually adorned with a pair of shiny black boots, made from the finest leather available. Unlike most nobles, I believe in not announcing my wealth to the world. I myself have attended a fair few trials, and understand a little of the motives of the many men and women who fall to crime as a last resort. The mere sight of wealth excites them, and their target has little to no chance. I prefer to not paint a gold and silver target on myself, and choose less extravagant, but finely made, clothing.

I've sowed a few sheaths into my sleeves and other such places for easy access as times of need. It never hurts to be prepared for what ever life may throw at you. They also are perfect time consumers, for all I need is a stick and one of my knives and I can walk for days whittling happily away...

My sword's sheath is strapped behind my bag across my back, for easier drawing. It's made out of solid wood and sticks out a little, so I am not hampered by my backpack when I have to put it away.

Backpack Contents: Two full water skins, enough food for two meals, a dart blower and a bag of spare darts. (A skill picked up from the farmers who work in the lands surrounding my home. While running around after rabbits and trying to spear them with my sword would be... interesting, blow darts are more fit to purpose). Metal polish, (I wouldn't want my sword/knives rusting) and various eating utensils.

Personality: …If I must answer this, (as I’m sure you have gathered my personality through my writing) I would say that I am… mature for my age. Pride, I must admit, is a weakness of mine. I will grow angry at even a hinted slight at my family, or me, and will deal with it accordingly. I am not overly fond of merchants, as you can imagine. I pity them from a far for the most part. I am not vain, a some people like to say, but merely… Appreciative. Yes, appreciative.

History: I was born in Albany (a seaside village), in a mansion on the edge of a sheer chalk cliff. I remember the cliff very well, picking my way down the weathered stairs to visit the beach below, exploring rock pools at their mighty feet… I spent my first fieve years there, living with my mother, (my father in our houses village, taking care of business) before she too was called to duty. We moved into the heart of our fathers home village, where my mother joined my father and helped him work. From then on I rarely saw the two of them, being brought up instead by an army of nannies and mentors. I watched as my standard of life took a nosedive, and strived to spend the least amount of time in the house as possible. I instead made friends with the other noble children, and took to spending time until a particularly nasty mentor discovered my antics and confined me to the house. Apparently, the children I had been playing with, perfectly happy, healthy children like myself, were ‘filthy kids with bad habits’. It took several years to discover the true reason behind the separation: Their families were disgraced, their core members corrupt, and I, as the sole inheritor of the Brenwy legacy, a family who prided themselves on forever remaining true and fair, was not allowed to mix with the other ‘sort’.

That was the day I first began to understand the harshness of reality.

Years passed, the golden sands of time slowly slipping through the hourglass’s slim neck, burning with passion and strength before disintegrating as it enters the wide chamber that is time’s death, floating down in a cloud of dust. I grew, learning, smiling, laughing, and singing as I breached the barrier of adolescence, with a final task before me. The quest that would admit me into adulthood. I spent many sleepless nights in the lead up to Quest day, waking early on the bloodred dawn that heralded it. I woke fully rested for the first time in weeks. I was ready.

OOC: I is back! =D The sign up alright? I ditched the jars, I understand now. XD Replaced them with a blow dart.

sorry for not signing up earlier...i was on holiday in Prague....
Name: Jack Mariner

Class: He’s a Sailor, which would put him in the class of warrior . He spent most of his life on his dad’s ship and learnt how to sail and fight. On his thirteenth birthday, his dad managed to get some of his saved money and bought him a small ship and told him to sail for the nearby port to receive his quest.

Chii-Device or Similar: Jack has a small cutlass attached to his belt given to him by his dad which, in the dark, tends to glow a slight blue because it has been used countless times by his more gifted family members for using wind and water Chii.

Appearance: Jack looks very much like a sailor being about 6’0 foot and with messy and a bit dirty blonde hair and sky-blue eyes which have an air of curiosity and mischief. His face is well set and tanned with constant working on ships in all weather, meaning that he has distinct blonde eyebrows, a slightly pointed nose, high cheek bones and a thin mouth which is normally curved in a slight smirk but something about him gives him an air of authority. He’s quite muscular and is well used to hard work. His clothing is simple and comfortable (reasonably) which consists of tight fitting and well worn boots, brown breeches, a tough leather belt with a short sheath on his side containing his cutlass, a lose fitting, faded blue shirt and a faded red bandanna. In the cold, Jack also wears a heavy, dark overcoat, which is warm but restricts his movements.
As with sailors, Jack also carries a large selection of knives in various places on his body. I won’t say where they all are but it is known that a throwing knife is in his boot, a small but lethal stabber up his sleeve and a dirk (big dagger or short sword) attached to his belt for hand-to-hand combat along with his cutlass.

Backpack Contents:2 waterskins, 4 slices of salted pork, 3 small apples, a flint and striker and a small bottle of rum.
on Jack's small boat, there is also a barrel of water, some makcrel and a small box of vegatables and fruit:2 apples, 4 pears, 3 carrots, 4 turnips and some cabbages.

Personality: happy-go-lucky-and-lives-life-as-it-comes, weather for good or for bad is the best way to describe Jack. He’s quite a happy fellow and is (although only 13) quite partial to some rum. But when his skills are tested, Jack would become a different person, serious, daring, and unforgiving, a leader that knows what he’s doing. Most of the time, he gets along with people of other classes but he does get very ticked off when the Nobles of the local town start being hostile and give orders to him, especially on his boat.

History: Jack has lived nearly all his life on ships and near the sea. His mother died giving birth to him so his dad brought him on to his ship and so his life learning to sail, fight, trading and seeing the world. Hoping that his son would one day take over the ship, Jack’s dad taught him how to read and write to a certain extent and how to do simple maths in order to reach agreements in trading and negotiation. It is rumoured that his mother was a member of nobility but Jack doesn’t know the truth and his dad won’t tell him.

OOC: I wonder what would happen if Jack and Tibalt were sent on a quest to sail somewhere…that would be interesting…
hehehe...
this ok then?

(metagrossiron_fist) Jack, warrior (sailor): not yet accepted, okay, I’ve made a call on your class based on your description, it’s going to be warrior… um, please change your backpack contents, so that we know what’s on the boat and what’s in your bag, because I’m not sure if you’ll be sailing…

PeeGee

ROAWR!
I hope I have written this out well enough.

Name: Karmas Herula

Class: Merchant

Chii-Device or Similar: Karmas recieved a very particular Chii-Device. It is his pet Simba. When he has a fire Chii in him, Simba is a Salamander, water Chii is a Flying Fish, earth Chii is a Fox, grass Chii is a Anaconda, wind Chii is a Bat
and decay Chii is a Black Labrador. When Simba has no Chii he remains the form he was last in.

Appearance: Karmas is around 5'6 foot tall. He has dirty blonde hair with black streaks in it. Karmas' hair reaches down to his shoulders. He has blue sparkling eyes that highlight his rugged and depressed looking face. Karmas usually wears cream and tan coloured robes that reach down to his feet. On his feet sandals are Karmas' choice of footwear. On a hot and sunny day Karmas will put on his special straw hat that was made by his foster father. It is larger tha normal sun hats and creates more shade than it should.

Backpack Contents: 2 Chii-catching jars, a bag of coins, pet chow, eight pieces of coal, nine pieces of fruit, three loaves of bread, a block of cheese and a journal.

Personality: Karmas is usually very quiet, keeping to himself due to him being extremely shy. If he can help it Karmas tries not to make friends, thinking that they will insult him for being a merchant. Though strangely his attitude changes completely when engaged in battle. He turns brave and tries to protect others, usually to no avail. Also he is very greedy when he handles money.

History: Karmas is the son of two nobles. His parents always tried to bring him up like a noble but Karmas was always interested in Merchants. He liked their shops and their products. He even asked if he could help with one of the shops. His parents were horrified when they found out about Karmas' addiction to merchandise.

Soon he was chucked out onto the streets and was taken in by a merchant who raised him like his son. For years Karmas learnt the trick of the trade, knowing when to bargain and when to accept. Before he left Karmas was given Simba. As he left Karmas found out about Simba's special ability when he got cold. Simba, as a salamander, burst into flames heating him up also wasting his precious Chii.

~Alexis Laistenna~

<Aren't I cute?
I'm gonna jump on the 1st person bandwagon.

Name: Aphrodite Venusia. A rather good name, if I may say so myself. If I were to pose as a Noble, the name would be perfect.

Class: Hunter by trade. Some people call me a stuck-up little girl, but they're just jealous. I prefer hunting monsters myself, vile creatures like vampires and werewolves. They need to be killed, or else there shall be no pure-blood. Please note that I go hunting with my elder brother, not with my father.

Chii-Device or Similar: An arrow with a sapphire encrusted on the pink feather which helps it glide along. The sapphire has been enchanted by a wizard so that if I feed it an air chii once per day, it shall return to me. A rather good device, but my parents have only told me that. I'm unsure that they have been telling the truth about it.

Appearance: When I look in a pond, all I see is a brunette, with light blue eyes, wearing a black hat with a blue feather sticking out of the ribbon. I wear a white tunic pinned together with a brooch found on a path while hunting, which is probably a Noble's. I wear a black skirt. My hair goes down to my waist, in a gentle cascade. It is a nice effect when I walk. I normally have bare feet, but my parents have insisted on me wearing some thick leather boots. I am taking them off as soon as I get out of the village. On my back I wear a fine backpack embroidered by my mother. I wear my quiver on my belt, as to give more space in my backpack for other necessities, like food.

My best friend claims that I am tall for a girl of my age, saying that as soon as I get back I should get 'squashed' so I am of an average height and will not stand out. All she wants is that she will get more attention, since apparently my height is bringing out men whom she desperately wants to wed.

Backpack Contents: My bow, my prized dagger, a few spare arrows for the quiver, and some keshebread, a sweet bread which with one nibble fills your stomach and banishes your hunger. It was baked specially by my father, a well-respected baker in these parts.

Personality: If I needed to write a paragraph on plants for the School Head, I would give him an essay. I am top of the age group in intelligence, and my Math and English are well-practised, as is my Languages. I am rather curious, so if I were to be placed with a noble, I'd ask what the high life was like, living in the lap of luxury. Despite this, I don't like associating with new people, since I am quite shy, and only if I have a good first impression, or they blackmail me, then I shall talk to them. If someone insults me, I shall never forget it, and probably use it to blackmail them. I will also take an insult as a blow to my very high pride, and will stick my nose up and pretend they are nothing more than a piece of dirt which has gained the ability to talk.

History: I grew up in a small hut in the lakeside town of Rochester, until a Noble used a fire chii and burned down the hut. My parents, thoroughly distraught, decided to move to another town. Despite the fact that there were more of those clumsy Nobles here than anywhere else. It was here that I met my long-lost brother, Daniel, who is still a blacksmith, and still requires me to baby-sit his daughter every day. It was he who taught me how to hunt, despite my parents’ career choice that I should be a cook at a nearby castle (they still cling onto that hope). I fought against a werewolf for the first time there, finally killing it with my brother’s blade. As a memoir, he gave it to me. My parents were reluctant, so instead I got my pearl dagger, the pearl he found on a mountain path while on his Quest. After that I lived peacefully, sometimes cooking at the bakery, sometimes helping my brother at the forge, but mostly hunting and taking requests from old men to rescue their daughters from an enchanted tree, or other such things in the forest. I now wake up, wiping my eyes and gazing at the Town Square.

This could be the time that triggers off a series of events that ultimately lead to my death.

OOC: Tibalt X Aphrodite begins again....... I'll edit if needed.

/Exiled/

EternallyParadoxical
Name: Ronoth

Gender: Male

Class: Wizard (earth)

Chi Device/Weapon: He carries a well lengthed very sturdy war staff. It is of a dark brown wood, and on each side there is a heavy dark metal tip. The is also thin metal bands spaced about 6 inches apart traveling down the shaft. The wood part of the staff has earth based engravings and carvings in it. It isnt super fancy, but it looks very sturdy and deadly. He can use it well to defend him self and strike heavy blows occasionally, as its mainly a defensive weapon. It also has an enchantment and can cause fissures and rocks to rise from the ground to some degree.

Appearance: Though he may be 13 puberty has headed his way. He is a tall 6'1 with semi long light brown hair, messily parted to the sides and combed back a little. He has deep brown eyes, that just have something about them that make him seem wise and understanding for his age. He is well built as he being an earth mage, has rock climbed and build up muscle exploring caves and other structures. He wears Darkish brown leather traveler type armor (leather Curiass, Glove, on left right hand, Boots, and side pads. Under that you can see dark green pants, a dark greenish long sleeve shirt under his curiass, and to top is off he has a a dark green bracer on his left hand with symbols of earth magery. On his back he wears a same kind of leather back pack.

Backpack contents: In his back pack he has travelers rations, A rope, A scrying glass, extra clothes, a few healing potions, flint and steel, and a book on different lands and how to understand the earth.

Personality: He is usually calm, cool, collected and a thinker. He is not one to rush into battle. He will quickly evaluate the area and think of a way to get passed the situation as quickly and easily as possible. He dosent like to argue with people if nesecarry, and he prefers to be unnoticed in a group, so he dosent attract publicity. He has a great knowledge of lands also. But he is also quite friendly, he will joke around and hold an intelligent conversation.

History: As a small boy, he lived with his parents in a cabin 10 miles away from the nearest big city. From birth, his dad and occasionally grandpa would come to help teach him of the ways of Wizardry. He continued learning the ways of the earth for a while. It had been a long road but it was something his clan had a knack for. One night when he was 9 years old and he was in the nearest town with his dad for the day... Something happened. A war of sorts broke out. Something about a black smith's strike turned into a riot. He was lost in the crowd and terrified. Eventually after hiding in an alley for hours he got to come out. He saw all the blood and carnage and how horrible it was.... But what was more terrible is that his emotions picked up the pain and suffering of those around him. He was then forced to suffer the pain of hundreds of people. His dad with an injured shoulder quickly grabbed him and brought him back to his humble home.....

After that day Something in Ronoth snapped a bit. He realized that there was pain in the world, and no matter how many you save, there will always be more pain. After that day, he became a much better mage as he took his studies more carefully. And now at age 13 he's much more ready than he would have been. In that one day he suffered more suffering than 1 person should..... But he is ready to try and help.

Other: His experience changed him magically to and gave him his odd eyes. Like most Wizards he will live a very long life. He often glows a green or brown color when performing spells.

There it is, my old sign up. I believe it's still acceptable.
