"Elite Four" Type thing?

I think there will probably be an Elite Four type of thing in D/P. The question is, HOW will they be executed? I personally hated all the Elite Four Types so far. I think an old-fashioned Elite Four should come. I especially hated the GSC elite four. Will was weird, Koga was... Koga, Bruno was exactly the same as he was in RBY,and the final person was just plain nuts. And then seeing Lance as the head? I've personally has enough of Lance. I thought there were too many repeating characters in the old Elite Fours. Not to say repeating is bad- I just don't want the D/P Elite Four to consist of all previous folks. And I don't like having the champion having onlyontype of Pokemon, like steel. This gets way to easy. I liked the idea of your rival being the champion, but that has a major weakness. Your rival has too much of a diverse eam. He has only like one type of each. In your eyes, that's awesome, but in a CPU's eyes? Each Pokemon is very vulnerable. I think an awesome lineup for the future Elite Four would have to be something like this:

1. Electric Freak
2. Grass Freak
3. Water Freak
4. Fire Freak

This would give a nice balance to the Elite Four and make it somewhat harder. I hope it avoids something like the time My Alakazam beat 3 Elite Four Trainers (Bruno, Koga, Lance) entirely with Psychic and Ice Punch. With this type of Elite Four, there is no consistent weakness.

As for the champion, I really talked myself into a corner, yeah? Well, if it had to be type-based, then a normal-based trainer. If it was more diverse, than... 2 Darks, 2 Fighting, and 2 Psychics, perhaps? Or no champion at all? Or 2 different champions that appear @ rando Elite Four tourneys?

^Yeah. What could really spruce it up would be a double-battle for the final battle.

i think it would be cool if the champion was different depending on what starter you have, not just his/her pokemon but a different person too

BOO!
I think the Champion should have a diverse team with a couple the same type, but changing with dual types, kind of like Steven. He had a couple pokemon the same type, but even those had dual types. But, I DO NOT want Steven back. No way.

Pure

back.
It won't be anyone old. This is because Shinou isn't close to anywhere else. Kanto was very close to Johto (connected), so the Elite Four was similar within a period of 3 years.

If they bring Lance as champion I will go berzerk. No one wants to see an angry vegetable.

I think one of the members will end up being ______'s 2nd cousin or something.

I think it'd be cool to see a member of the Elite 4 with Bug types. Better yet, how about the first one being actually -balanced-?

The GSC elite four are cool. Will was cool, he needed a better team. Koga was awesome. He deserved the promotion. Besides, Janine is hot. XD

Bruno is awesome enough to be in two games. Karen is also hot. I dont like Lance too much.

Anyway..an elite four id like to see:

Bug (heh same as macross green)
Flying (flying doesnt get enough credit, there are lots of decent flying types)
Electric (Id actually would be shocked. No pun intendid. Even more so if it was LT.surge LMAO)
Fire (let it burn, again no pun intendid)

If i see another dragon elite four member. I'll scream like a lil girl and run around the corner naked.

Flying is do-able

it and water are the only possible Mono type teams

I think they're just making the E4 with types that none of the Gym Leaders specialized in. I mean, in Emerald, none of the Gym Leaders had Dark Type, so that's why Sidney was there. None of them had Ghost Type, so that's why Phoebe (sp?) was there. None of them had Ice Type, so that's why Glacia was there. And no one had Dragon or Steel so that's why Drake and Steven are there. I think they need to have a Grass Gym Leader or E4 though. Oh, and your line-up is VERY vulnerable. You mostly have all the types that beat those by the end.

Actually, there was a Dragon-type gym leader in GSC. And yet, Lance was still there.

Personally, I consider Lance a flying trainer. In Gold, Silver, and Crystal, he had Charizard, 3 Dragonite, Aerodactyl, and Gyarados, all flying. but your point still stands, as Falkner(flying) was the first gym.

You could beat that WHOLE lineup easily with a high-level Aerodactyl that knows Rock Slide and Earthquake, and maybe even wing attack. Cool lineup though. The worst in this lineup would be a champion with Anti-Aerodactyl pokemon, in which case you have 5 more pokemon on hand.

A double battle would be sweet. It should be optional though.Or not...

Double battles suck..I hate them. I hate getting teamed by people who are hiding n stuff.

Double battles rob your pokemon of experience. Because you gotta share with pokemon you dont want to. I hate being forced to share. If I wanted to share I would have done so.

Somethings that should be gettin rid of:
Double Battles
HM's

HM's are the piece of crap in pokemon exsistance. They make you have to have a billion HM's to get through the game. Totally putting a dent in your pokemons moveset. Sure the mvoe delter is handy-dandy. But screw that. At least be able to overwrite them when you dont need them. Thats one cheat I truly accept. HM's able to be overwritten.

Lint

Pyro Trainer
double battle? make it a true double battle. that, would be sweet. just don't make it like Collo and XD where every battle is double. we need more true double. but that might go better against an enemy team...

what would be sweet would be like,
Electric
Ground
Ice, maybe Bug
Fire (burn, baby, burn)

actually give the E4 in order of pokemon strength. if you look at the E4 in the past, the more advanced of the E4 is a Dragon trainer, who whupped an Ice type. thats weird.

I agree totally. I wish you could teach a pokemon a HM without it being part of its moveset...but then that would mean the couple of lone useful ones (like...erm well just Surf I suppose) wouldn't be useable anymore. Maybe that would be a good thing, actually. It seems a bit cheap to have a reusable powerful water move to teach all your pokemon.
