Emerald Cloning Glitch Question

I have a question about the cloning glitch in Emerald. I'm at my cousin's house, and he wanted to clone a Pokemon so he could trade it to me, and he wanted me to do the same. Problem is, I am just afraid that the glitch will destroy both of our games. (We both have very valuable and irreplacable Pokemon). I just wanted to gather some more information and experiences for the people here on Serebii Forums. Has anybody had problems with the glitch? Has it been successful?

If you do it RIGHT it is perfectly safe.

Go to the official cloning thread. Many people ( not myself ) will confirm that if done correctly, it is fine. I do know that you can wait however long you want after the freeze to try it. I actually went through the entire process, but didn't turn the game off because I didn't want anything to happen. But you have to turn it off when it says

.. There is already a save file do you wish to overwrite it ? ... (( I think ))

It's fine. I've done it heaps and nothings happened.

I've done it about 30 times at the very least. If you do it correctly, nothing will go wrong. Everything has to be done exactly like the instructions say, though. Read through the instructions every time you do it until you memorize the glitch to be sure you get it right.

This should have been asked in the cloning thread, rather than starting a new one. But there is next to no chance of any screw-ups/complications in this glitch.

theres your problem right there.

you are meant to save with an almost empty party then withdraw the ones you want to clone.

if you deposit then they get deleted. its why you need to follow the instructions to the letter.
