Defeat the Elite Four first and go to The Underground Pass in the Ruin Maniac's House, that's where Ditto is and at the very end is the fossil you did not choose.

3. Enter The Cave Which Is The Underground Pass

4. Walk Around In The Cave Until Ditto Appears

5. If You Keep Walking, You'll Come Across A Fossil

well like my friends said defeat e4 and go to verdanturf then enter the fossil maniacs house which is located on west then in the cave u will have many dittos to capture also pokemon like whismur

4.go up untill you get into the desert underpass
5.wait for ditto to appear

you must of been to the mirage tower though to get the fossil.

you can also trade with fire red/leafgreen to get a ditto from there game, but they are higher leveled.

Me one day was walking for the Granite Cave and I was appeared a ditto, as me it takes out to fight to Rayquaza he transformed in Rayquaza, and I told to my friends that another Rayquaza had caught and they believed me.

BTW here's a trick for catching dittos.
Get a magikarp.
When a ditto appears, switch to magikarp.
Ditto will transform into magikarp.
Switch to a false swiper, false swipe while he splashes and get him easily because magikarp has a really low catch rate.

The catch rate will still stay the same, it's still ditto with its same stats and IVs, just not his moves.

I'm curious to know something about Ditto...When Ditto transforms into a Pokémon, does it have the same catch rate of the Pokémon it transforms into? Transform I would say is a very strange attack.
