Emerald Legendarys spamming rest

i am trying to get a groudon from terra cave and i saved before i faced it and it keeps spamming rest and its getting really annoying post here if u have the same problem with rayquaza, groudon and maybe kyogre

What you could try, if this is really annoying you, is train up something as somewhat of a sacrifice with Insomnia and Skill Swap (Hypno for example) and stick it at the front of your party. Use Skill Swap, and then Groudon will smack you down. You've lost a Pokemon, but it will be powerless to use Rest.

I used a similar strategy to fight Groudon in my Ruby game. So as not to have the Sunny Day effect giving me grief, I put my Lanturn out first and used Rain Dance to cancel it. Lanturn got horribly owned 9/10 times (the other 1/10 Groudon used Fire Blast or Bulk Up), but it made taking those Fire Blasts less painful for the rest of my team.

maybe i should just make it till he runs out of rest ill keep stalling and then strike when hes run out

EDIT: zzz i was at kyogre spot at route 125 and it was heavy rainfall but no dive spot zzzz.
and i went really quick

That idea is really good if you want to prevent Rests. My fight againts Groudon was this easy: I used Master Ball... Groudon is mine now hahahahaa

lol i used my master ball on rayquaza soo.....

EDIT: hes on 3 shakes from ultra i think hes almost mine I DONT WANT ANOTHER REST
EDIT AGAIN: dam only 1 shake now

lol i just taught my rayquaza surf over extremespeed and its really handy coz it only leaves a tiny bit of health so when he rests i surf him and hes also asleep yay im so smart!

well i think its gona take at least 60 ultra balls to catch this fat lizard

EDIT: wow now groudon aint sleeping and it only used it twice and its just solarbeaming with drougut in effect and it barely does any damage to my rayquaza

I completed my pokedex so I have them all...MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Kyogre works wonders in the Elite Four (R/S not Emerald) but Groudon...not so much. I also have the 3 Regi's (2 Timer balls, 1 Ultra Ball), and I too used the Master Ball on Raquaza. An easy snag to make the adorable dragon MINE! lol

Still working on Emerald though...

why would you waste your master ball on groudon? save it for Raquaza or better yet, latios/latias.
