Emerald or FRLG?

I might finally get the chance to buy a new PKMN game tomorrow, and I have come to a hard decision... Should I get Emerald or FR/LG? I'm leaning towards FR/LG right now because of the Pokemon on there that I haven't used in sooo long... I miss Kanto, and would like to play the game with more fluid controls. What do you think? Also, is there any things that I definetly need to know about the game you're reccomending?
I have Ruby and Sapphire... and I currently have 2 GBAs (borrowed one from a friend), so any trading to the new games, I could do... But I do have a question. How long do I have to wait before I can trade over my Hoenn PKMN to FRLG? I could probably beat the core of the game fairly soon, and I'd like to train my current RS team in the Seven Islands... and I really want Deoxys. Is there any sort of criteria I have to complete before I can add Hoenn Pokemon to my roster on FRLG?

Frlg

Yeah , you should get FRLG. If I we're you i'd get that since u have Ruby and Sapphire. Unless you want to go do the Battle Frontier. But i'd get FRLG. If you do get FRLG, get FireRed becuz it has better exclusive version pokemon. Like growlithe, oddish, and all that.

If you really want to see all the kanto pokemon, I would recommend FRLG

If you want to see more of the Johto pokemon (along with hoenn), I would recommend Emerald.

If you want to explore the sevii islands, go with FRLG

If you want to explore the battle frontier, go with Emerald

And thats basically it... I would go with FRL though

And hoenn pokemon cant be registered to FRLG until you beat the elite 4 and catch 60 pokemon, then talk to prof.oak

I would like to see the Kanto pokemon... but which of the Johto ones can you find in Emerald?

I would definetly like to explore the Sevii Islands more than the Battle Frontier... mainly for Deoxys.

And as for the requirement... Wow... I would expect it to be harder than that. That's good...

You need to go to a nintendo event or gameshark for Deoxys

well in emerald, after beating the elite 4 and getting the national dex (iirc), you can find johto pokemon in the safari zone like houndour, pineco, snubbull, miltank, and a bunch of others.

And Deoxys can be found on emerald too... I just forgot how and where

You can't get Deoxys in the game unless you get a special ticket (Eon ticket?) from an event like Journey Across America. Sorry. Unless you plan on going to that you can scratch Deoxys of your list.

Come along, dear
Well, you should o with the advice above. But I just want to tell you thath te only way to trade FRLG-RSE is to beat the E4, get 60 Pokemon, which gives you trhe National DEx, THEN do a side quest in the Sevii Islands to use a machine to trade.

Hmm. I didn't read up much on FRLG after release, and I thought that Birth Island was accessible without anything special... Ok. I'm still leaning towards FRLG.

O hai you guysh !
I would recommend Fire Red/Leaf Green.

If you already have Ruby and Sapphire, Emerald is pretty much the same, with the added Battle Frontier and a few new Pokémon...

Wow... now I'm getting depressed. I originally thought you could get Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Deoxys in FRLG, but apparently, I've been mistaken... Is everyone still wanting me to lean to FRLG? lol

It's what you want. Though i'd get FRLG( FR, preferably for my opinion) Emerald has battle frontier and few other johto pokemon.

Well sure! There are other pokemon besides Ho-oh, Lugia, and Deoxys y-know! It's an interesting game especially if you're used to the old days of R/B/Y. It was quite entertaining to see how much it's changed and been upgraded. Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle gained a couple new moves to their move pools along with just about every other pokemon, Pidgeot gained quite a useful move (Feather Dance), the graphics are ten times better then before, the gyms look better, you can get one of the three beasts (Depending on your starter), Missingno is gone so no worries about having your game corrupted and no more temptation to do the Rare Candy trick, the added islands, the Elite Four stepping their game up after beating them once, Jhoto pokemon, the new TMs, and much more. You kind of experience deja vu when you're playing it. It's great!

FRLG. New places (Sevii Islands), and having all 151 original pokemon (as well as some Johtos) fully obtainable. Lugia and Ho-oh are only obtainable in XD and Colosseum without a Nintendo event and Deoxys isn't obtainable anywhere without a Nintendo event.

Pidgeot gets some new moves? Well, that won me over, hands down. Pidgeot was the first Pokemon I ever trained to level 100. I got it up there on my Yellow version... I must've beaten the Elite 4 about a hundred times before the game finally died... Missingo glitch, and GameShark... Maybe I can get some of those old memories back again. I read that in Emerald, you can challenge Gym Leaders to rematches. Can you do that in FRLG? I'd like to use them for training... lol

And, one more question. Should I delve out of my Wii savings (currently 165 dollars USD) to buy this game? So far, my mind says yes, and I get a feeling you'll agree.

A. There is no Missingno glitch
B. You cannot re-face Gym leaders

However, there are more add ons in general from Red- Fire Red then from Ruby- Emerald.

Moon Prism Power!
No, but there is a thing called VS. Seeker but you can't use it on gym leaders or you can't use it in a cave. Like the same rule applies with using a bike. In Emerald the gym leaders will challenge you 4 times excluding the time you get the badge and they'll have new pokemon or pokemon that evolved.
