I don't know!
Natrually it is, with the BF. The gym leaders Pokemon take on high levels after you've beaten the Pokemon league.

Kev Chi

Yes but after you beat them 4-5 times, that is there set team for the rest of the game.

yea, they call you up just like in g/s/c. it is pretty cool.
They DO NOT call you in GSC. However, in Emerald, yes, they do call you, but not much. You have to check you're PokeNav for the symbol that means they want to battle.

and, in my opinion, this game was easier than ruby/sapphire, because (since you're fighting both Teams) you have a lot more training at one constant level. also, as a wonderful bonus, you don't have to fight and catch a legendary poke before you even get to beat the E4, so you can take your time and catch the best one possible. and it has all sorts of cool features, especially if you're interested in breeding.

I did it!!
I totally agree. But it is nice to have more selection when it comes to pokemon.

Honestly I dont think the Pokemon games are "hard" at all >___> but um... sure Emerald requires more thought because of the Battle Frontier

With the battle frontier, both evil teams, and being able to battle the gym leaders over and over till their teams get really strong yes, emerald is more challenging than ruby and sapphire. I think emerald may require more skill of you thn the others, because in the battle frontier, you have to have better strategies to use other than ones you used plainly in the ruby and sapphire battle towers.

Caterpie Master

Oh My! Noodlesoup!
It's a bit harder yeah, but also a lot better!
You have the BF, animated pokemon, pictures of items etc.
I find especialy Tate&Liza far more hard than in Ruby/Sapphire, but that's me;)

Masumi

Fog Trainer
The gymleaders are a bit harder...and the new Champion is also a LOT harder to beat...However, it is more fun to play! I mean, you can catch Groudon and Kyogre! :D

ima gonna smile now!
I like Emerald alot more than ruby and sapphire, it really tests your talents as a trainer, which i think is key to becomming a master... well duh! also, you can get ahold of the joto starters, my favorite starters of all!

Though you can catch Rayquaza before battling the E4. I think they should be called the e5 since it has 4 people + 1 champion.
