Hello I've owned and beaten Ruby,Sapphire,Fire Red,Colosseum,& XD. And I was wondering what are the advantages of getting emerald. Thanks in advance.

Better graphics, better story, more appearances of Team Magma & Team Aqua, choice of Lati@s, extra locations, nifty little details that make the game worthwhile, all of the above and more... It's a great game.

(mumble... if only Maxie had dumped that rocket fuel into Mt. Chimney... grumble...)

The pokemon do a little move once theyre out of the pokeball (like crystal)
Apparently you can do the battle tower as a tag team with a friend, which sounds brill to me.
Im gonna buy it when it comes as a combo with a GBMicro

the Battle Frontier is probably the best addition. it gives oyu the old Pokemon Stadium feel with Cups and stuff. (but not exactly..cups) Move tutors are great.

PS:Speaking of which that is a question.. Is collosium\XD like stadium? i.e you could upload pkmn from gameboy games then use it to battle cups and stuff...

Wow thanks for all the info guys. Sandslash BUY XD it is a descent game and you get Lugia!! About the cups I just beat the game last night and got owned in orre colosseum so I'm not sure. One more thing can you get mew in Emerald or do you need a stupid ticket @_@; I can't find anything about Pokemon Con's coming to MN. I really want Deoxys but need the ticket I'm not into cheating >.>

im sorry to say you need a ticket to get mew in emerald but the good news is it hasnt come and gone yet so there is hope but the bad news is the only way to get deoxys with out cheating has gone by all the events have ended its a sham only the lucky people get to go (im one of them) but theres allways a chance for mew.

Well I'm trying to stay on target here but hey. If someone has the ticket can they keep using it or is it only a one use thing. I mean Example* you use it transfer deoxys then start new game? is that possible? Example* you've used it but now you send it to your new best friend Josh in MN. Does that work \(>.<)/

Err, how would you transfer it? The tickets are key items so pokémon can't hold them, if what you meant was trading a pokémon holding the ticket. If you meant restarting your game, it's an item, and like all other items it doesn't transfer to the new file o_o;

Oh thanks for the info I have no idea how they work only that you get them at a convention and they let you acess new areas and a legendary character. I'de feel a little dumb standing in a line with a bunch of kids at a convention for that. But I'de do it and bring my daughter with LOL.

I'll see you there :) ...I imagine there are a lot of us who feel a little too old to be seen at pokemon events alone.

haha I use to not let my daughter watch it then I let her watch a movie on Cartoon Network it was Heroes. and I was like well it's better than alot of disney movies. then my cousin got me playing Colosseum. And I was like hmm i want different guys so I bought Ruby. LOL next thing i know I'm hooked. I'm 28 but I just like the games & the Movies I don't really like the series. *braces himself for flames* It wasn't a big step from being a die hard Star wars and Anime fan. I'm 29 and it's hard to really consider myself an "older" Pokemon fan. I've only been playing the games for 2 or 3 years. Still, I've beaten all of them except Emerald. Got sidetracked in Emerald trying to hatch a shiny Ralts.
