Emerald Version

Hey everyone, I was wondering, is it worth getting emerald now or saving my money for pokemon XD. (which I won't be able to play until the summer) I already have colosseum and the pokedex entry for lugia and two lucky eggs which I all got legit. I find XD to be a repeat of Colosseum when it comes to the gameplay, so should I get emerald now? There's nothing much in XD which I can't get in the GBA games. Plus, I hear that emerald is a lot more challenging when it comes to gameplay and gym leaders can be fought more than once, not to mention, a some-what different story line plus the battle frontier.

Your ideas please.

hands down, go for Emerald. XD is nice, but Emerald is way better. i have over 500 hours logged in Emerald, and the Battle Frontier still ocupies me, as well as shiny hunts.

all you get in XD is a game you can't kill time with on the go, that's functionally colo all over again. you get a few extra moves, and extras of the relevant legends, but emerald gives you improved breeding, battle frontier, and a much wider selection of pokemon to use.

If you're thinking about getting Emerald (an update to Ruby/Sapphire) and avoiding XD because XD is a repeat of Colosseum, that seems a little silly. But, I would recommend Emerald over XD if you already own Colosseum. There is more to do in Emerald and I think it's more fun to play through than XD. Besides, the price of XD may drop after the Wii is released and you can get it then if you're still interested.

I think you should get emerald, because XD and COLLOSUM are simular, but Emerald brings new things that you will enjoy and emerald is cooler.

As everyone said, Emerald. It has new features and is more challenging. XD001 is the only thing you get in XD anyway and purifying him is too long and way too easy.
