Emerald-Wattson-Manetric

I have a bad case of OCD.

But anyway, how did you defeat Wattson in Emerald, particually Manetric.

I used Pokemon like Treecko to defeat most of his Pokemon, but I think I used Geodude for Manetric, and no I feel cheap.

How did you defeat Wattson, and was what I did cheap?

Edit: Yeah, I mean the first battle.

I used a Graveler. I feel nothing since I raised it into an awesome Golem.

Well, atleast you beat. Even though my team was very high-levelled and mixed, I had to reset (5 times) to beat him. So yeah ;\

I used Marshtomp with Mud Shot and Mud Sport. Of course, then I replaced them later. XD

Aside from that, I think your best bet is, as mentioned earlier, Geodude or Graveler.

Breloom+combusken= best combination in-game! so yes, I used those 2 to beat the best gym in hoenn (electric 8D)

I don't know; I think I'll just buy another Emerald.
I can have one game where I do everything the "right" way.

Why not simply starting a new game?

Anyways, I beat him using a Mudkip at lvl 34. Though, he sweeped me around 5-6 times before I beated him.

I don't remember......... but usually I tend to fight gyms with overlevelled pokemons (including during elite 4... mind you, my team of 4 were at level ~65 and I flattened the Elite 4, where I usually kill EACH pokemon in 1 hit, exception being Milotic in Emerald and Glacia and Cradily in R/S) so that gym pokes will die in one hit all the time (quite time consuming and kinda stupid, yes xD).... but well, I really don't remember what poke I used on him..... maybe a few over-levelled Linnones xD

I used Makuhita to kill Wattson.
Vital Throw will tear his Pokemon apart.

I just beat Wattson on Emerald this morning, defeated all his Pokemon with a level 29 Breloom (my best Pokemon being my level 36 Swampert and level 35 Lairon, which I didn't use). I didn't have to restart once, and only got hit by one attack (Shock Wave, from Manectric as I was Paralysed.)

Wattson's a push-over if you have good Pokemon.

And no, you didn't use the 'cheat way'. When I got to Mauville City, I completely reformed my team, taking out Azumarill, Swellow (who is level 38 now, I used her to EV train Lairon and Manectric), and Mightyena.

You have to win anyway you can except for using a cheating device. Also using something thats super effective is like a strategy to alot of people. Everybody says I'm not cheap and everything so I'm a non-cheap trainer.
