Emerald's End?

Has anyone else been worried about the release of pearl and diamond? Im concerned that people may abandon r/s/e/fr/lg once these games come out. Emerald has not been out that long and they already have new games on the way. I liked it better when it was more spread out, for example the large time gap between red/blue and gold/silver. That way people can acomplish w/e needs to be done on their game by the the time the next one comes out. So my question to you is do you think people will become so preoccupied with pearl and diamond that the old games will be forgotten?

I'm not worried. People will still be posting about the old games and playing them and stuff. I know I will. I mean, for a while, I will be playing my D/P, but I'll get back to my old ones. I'm sure that's how it's gonna be for everyone else. That's how it is when any new game comes out, no matter how spread apart it was from the previous ones.

Loads of people still play R/B/Y and G/S/C also the GBA games will still be needed to complete the D/P pokedex.

People will still play their old games. Besides, you can transfer 3rd gen pokemon to DP to complete the pokedex, so it won't happen.

emerald has been out for plenty of time. If the person hasn't finished it already, it's not likely that they're going to care if they never do finish it when the new games come out.

I reckon there will be a short gap in forum discussion/playing of R/SE but after most people have completed d/p theyl'l come crawling back to the 3rd gen lol.

i've been playing crystal for about 4 years now.

i don't think I'd forget about emerald.

hey jenius, there is the GBA slot on the DS and the DS cartridge slot on the DS, hmmmm....... makes me think that what theyre saying isnt all that untrue especially since we've known about this for awhile

Don't you put both games into the DS, using the GBA slot and the DS slot? Or a GBA game into one DS and a DS game in another DS? Ahh, i'm not entirely sure.

Anyways, i wouldn't abandon my old games when D/P come out. I still play 1st and 2nd gen. games to this day, why stop when D/P come out?

Like I said in another topic, there are possible changes in the way attacks are decided in D/P that could change the entire game around. I'd still play the old games when I want to play the old style.

I know alot of people who still play the old red games and this is still when emerald came out. So i am not that worried about the releases of D/P I will not abadon emerald or firered and i dont think aother people will neither.

Emerald? End? No. Diamond and Perl is not going to have all the pokemon in it. People are going to need to play them to get the other pokemon from R/S/E/FR/LG. Did people stop playing Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow when Gold and Silver came out? They certantly did not. People will forget about the Third Generation untill they beat D/P. Other than that, no. Far too many memories to be forgotten.
