Would you consider them as a cat like legendary or dog like? Personally, I see them as a cat because of their whiskers and their manes. Discuss your opinion.

Can we save eighty pages of comments and agree on the fact that they are commonly referred to as "beasts", since none of them seem to have similar characteristics that could lead a single person here to draw a plausible conclusion as to what animal they could be related to in real life?

I've got to call them dogs.
Considering they were resurrected by Ho-Oh from a Vaporeon, Jolten and Flareon, it really depends what you consider them. I call those three dogs, Espeon a cat, and Umbreon a rabbit.
