What's a good strategy for final battle entei? I've tried using espeon and then medicham, but he always escapes just before I finish the last circle.

im pretty sure he/she's talking about ranger. that on was pretty hard. actually, extremely hard. what i did was circle around it, (careful not to touch the fire) until all the little flames go away, but one circle at a time. then when they're all gone even bigger fires are erupted so be careful. when the flames are as big as can be try touching entei in the middle of the screen. do that until he uses flamethrower and there aren't any flames. then spark (or bubble) him, then use medicham, then circle perfecly around as fast as you can. you'll eventually get it.

Use a vaporeon! Bubble it, circle untill all the flames are gone, then bubble it again if you can, or you could discharge.
I circled 'till his flames were gone, then I used donphan to trap him and finish him off.

I used medicham i still dont know how i was able to capture it. Hes the hardest pokémon to catch in the game.

Then after all small flames whas gone. I used a Ghost-pokéassist. It pretty handy.. Buuuttt.... I think you should listen to other people then me..

Anyway, Yes you can be a Lengendary bird if you want to. But it must be the leader who "kills" Entei if you want him to join your team. But i think it will take pretty long becuse i don't think Entei want's to join after just one match.
