Episode 461: Attack! The Stray Weavile!

What do you guys think is gonna happen in this episode?

From the summary we had, Ash battles a Weevile with Aipom. Aipom loses (?) and is injured, so Ash retreats. Then some filler character says how there is a Weevile who always travels alone, or something like that.

In any case, seems like another Aipom-esque episode. At least it will be in its first real battle.

i just had a dream that serebii said on the site "well I have just updated Jessie's bio with a new Pokemon. Click to see. Be warned, it does contain spoilers." Then I clicked on it and I saw a picture of weavile in it.

But I think it will be like the episode with treeko and seviper. Treeko battles a seviper and looses. It attacks Jessie. Jessie catches it. Seviper re matches treeko and treeko wins this time. Except it will be with aipom and weavile. Yeah that sounds like a good ep.

I hope to God Jesse doesn't catch one. Its overexposed and not that cool IMO, so lets keep it out of the main cast

I don't think anyone will capture it, but if so, I wont be too happy, the main characters have enough fourth generation for now in my opinion.

I will watch the preview nontheless, it sounds like it will be an interesting episode all-in-all.

I meant in terms of the adoration it gets. I've seen so much of it since it was released both on the forum and in mainstream pokemon that I'm sick of it. Honestly I don't think its that great

No its adored because of the fact its by far right up there with Lucario on the 4th gen popularity chart, and has been for a long time. No need to get so defensive. I personally think Jesse has enough pokemon anyway; way more then James

The only reason Weevile is popular is because it was the first D/P Pokemon that wasn't a baby or a legendary. If they waited and didn't reveal Weevile till later...nobody would have cared.

I see this as just being an episode for more possible Aipom development, but nothing much otherwise.

God knows we could use to cram in some Aipom development. In the unlikely event it doesn't stick around it needs to do something this late in the saga

Yeah, especially if we don't see Ash anymore after this saga, Aipom better get some purpose.

Since the season's nearing its end, perhaps they might start bringing Shinou up in the anime (unless they have already). Therefore it sets the next goal in perspective.

Some people are speculating that Drew will mention Shinou in the "Rivals forever" episode so all the rivals meet up in the same place.

If someone does catch it, I hope Jessie or James does. If they don't catch it, then no body should except for Ash (in Shinou though).
