Escape Rope Question.

If you went to Dewford at the first of the game and let's say that you went right into the cave. When you finished the cave or your pokemon is low on hp or whatever you decide to use escape rope, but since you didn't go to Dewfords pokemon centre, it would take you to lets say Rustboro centre. Wouldn't you be stuck, because Mr.Briny already took the boat to Dewford?

Maybe it does I never use escape rope and I read that description and thought about that.

you are thinking of Teleport which brings you to the last pokemon center you were at. All escape rope/ dig does is bring you back to the entrance of the cave.

maybe it was a progremming error like "the Groudon FLEW away" or how steeven says thet you helped him in Sootopolis when actually you helped him in Mossdeep.. I think that you wouldn't get stuck but I am not sure. Maybe I should try it in Sapphire?

Okay I tried it with escape rope and it did take me outside the cave not to the centre. Then I caught abra and tried to teleport, and when I got to the town beside Mr.Briny's house his boat came back and he was there.

So you can't get stuck and this thread can be closed.
