Do characters somehow grow stronger when the Legendary Pokemon takes over?... or is it only like a personality and memory swap?

Zerodius: Well, it's sorta both. Seeing as the character is not a strong as the elemental, it would naturally become stronger if the elemental was in control.

So from here on you may have one secondary character if you so please. Do not make one if you do not want one or think you can handle it.

I think you should have her be one of the Legendary birds or Ho-oh for your plot's sake, but you can do whatever you want. ^_^
