EV Glitch???

I've EV trained a Swablu w/ Macho Brace for quite some time now & have always kept track of its EV distributions. I reached 510 EV's and tired to get a Effort Ribbon but was unable to, so I kept up the training. Right now I'm at 510 Def, 168 HP & 102 Sp.Def. Is there a possibility that a glitch in my game allowed for unlimited EV's on my Swablu?

If it is a glitch, then you are veeery lucky, just think about it, an ULTIMATE Swablu (or Altaria) with sooo high EV:s!

you can't have 510 EVs in the same stat, it maxes out at 255. and unless you miscounted somwhere, you should be able to get the effort ribbon now. defense has 255, and the other 255 are divided somehow between HP and SDef.

Or you used a Berry in Emerald that resets EV's for a particular stat, which could be possible.
