But you're not telling me why my stat won't raise even though I have the correct amount of EV points everytiem I level? And that is confusing. lol
If you understand the equations, they will tell you exactly how your stats should be behaving and how many points they should be rising when you level up. Essentially, since the stats are dynamically calculated with those equations, the increase you get when you level up is the expected total boost at Level 100 divided by 100. So, if your Pokemon has 252 Effort Points in, say, Attack, that means that at Level 100 it would have 63 (252 / 4 = 63) extra points. So, when it level up, it will gain .63 points in Attack more than normal (63 / 100 = .63). But, since the game rounds everthing down before adding it to the new stats, you won't see that additional point every turn (Math.Floor(.63) = 0, Math.Floor(.63 * 2) = Math.Floor(1.26) = 1), instead you will see the extra point show up about 2 out of every three levels. This is true of all levels after the level at which you earned the Effort Points. On the level you earned the points, you see a larger increase because the previous levels where you didn't have those points are suddenly being tallied up and their contributions added to the stat increase. Like I said earlier, though, just understanding the equations and how the game uses them will answer pretty much any question you have about EVs, except where the best training locations are.
