It depends.

If you only want to battle the trainers in your game (excluding BF), they don't really matter. But if you want to conquer BF, they'll be good.

IMO, Ev training is worth it. It really isnt as hard as it seems. I think if you want to get all the symbols(silver, gold), you'll have to use EV trained Pokemon.
Doesnt this belong to poles?

The reason your pokémon has close to flawless stats is most likely because the EV's aren't counted. The Breeding man in the BF is one of the best ways to know your pokémons IV's.
And, YES, EV-training is worth it, even if it's kinda boring.

erm.. all your stats is flawless because:
you will ev train in different stats every time you slay a pokemon anyway, so because you did put a zero in all the places, you aint counting thier EV's.. so you houndoom could also have these ivs:

Hp 10
Attack 5
Sp attack 2
Defense 7
Sp Defense 10
Speed 13

because you won all the silver-symbols except spenser, can be because of a whole loot of luck...

Those are your Pokemon's Iv's my friend.
The Iv's (or individual values) are set in stone from the begining of your training. Ev Training is much different, and I suggest you read this.

Also, they are so high, because you have not included Evs into the calculation.

Ev training can be worth it. It can make your Pokemon even stronger in areas there good at and boost up areas their weak at. Try getting the same two Pokemon, training one normally and Ev train one in the wanted stat and compare. You might be surprised (might be).

EV training is very worth it IMO. It may take a while but it's worth it.

EV training is definatly worth it, but the macho brace +PokeRus combo makes it a lot easier and quicker. I just Ev trained my Gastly a few days ago, and now it's lvl 50 with 200 Sp Att.

If you're just an in-game Trainer unwilling to do any good in the Battle Frontier/Tower/Whatever, then EV Training is, indeed, worthless. It's too much of a chore to actually care.

But if you want to have Link Battles and have a good chance at the major Battling facilitie, EV Training is the only way to go. IVs matter, but they just provide 1/3 of a total of 94 Stat Points a Pokémon can have...

EV training is well worth it, though its terribly boring, you can havea 62 more ina ev trained stat, yes its worth it.
63, actually. 255/4 = 63.75, which the game rounds down to 63.

and EV training is particularly good for things like blissey. without defense EVs, blissey rolls over and dies to physical moves. when it's minimum stat at 100 for defense is 23, and it's max is 130, that's a really huge difference.

You mean macho brace+pokerus.
And ofcourse its worth it weither you are playing the frontier or not.
Ev training helps you in building your team.

heck I just finished EV training Vaporeon for the BF, And It's only level 30 with 140+ HP!

I believe in EV training as I have established specific secret bases to speed up training in that. Having the right EV distribution can mean the difference of thrill of victory or the agony of defeat and to have to start a battle frontier streak all over again.

Actually.... the only way you can't EV train a pokemon is if u use only rare candies on it. This is because whenever you battle any pokemon, it gives you evs. The only difference between ev training every talks about and normally leveling is that you are controlling every ev you place into it. So there is no exscape from ev training.
