Ev trainning allows you to put your so called bonus states points into sections you want into. So its not completly random. Just look on the main site for more info.

That EV guide is my pokemon bible, i dont know what i'd do without it.

You have to level up, but it´s not instatly, if you get 40 EV in the level 30 when it reaches 31 you won´t get +10, you´ll get something like +4 or +3, because the game shares the total EV you have until the level 100 (in case of the lowering EV berries).

If it beats 20 Zubats you´ll get 20 EV.
If it beats 20 Zubats holding Macho brace, you´ll get 40 EV in speed.
I hope you understood...

20 EV = +5 points in the stat value at level 100.
40 EV = +10 points in the stat valut at level 100.
252 EV = +63 points in the stat value at level 100.
255 EV = +63 points in the stat value at level 100.

ev training is for the hardcore pokemon trainers who want there pokemon to be the best they can be at there prefferd stat such as special def or hp and will battle pokemon that gives them points such as a wurple wil give +1hp point but u will not receve it all at once
