ever feel like the game is against you?

Like the title says. Have you ever felt that way? Like the game just does stuf to make you lose? Its happend to me loads of times. Like when my Swellow ould have taken out Flannerys torkoal, the game made it lose a turn from love and it fainted from two critical hits from Torkoalss overheat.

i know it is all random(like confusion and parylyzeing stuff) but it sometimes does. but if i yell at my game to work with me, it somtimes helps ^.^

Like I was in the Saffari zone today, trying to catch a male and a female Heracross (for breeding)... I ran into about five females, caught one, and when I finally did find a male it ran away.

I never did get that male...

And then I realized I could breed anyway with a wurmple.

It is all random but, i know that it can seem like the games against you, for example one time on my saphire wallaces milotics shots were all critical hits, no matter what he did like 8 critical hits on my swampert before my swampert kicked the bucket.

We all get haxed by the game at some point. I can't remember any specific events, but I know it happens all the time. This is why I always try to take as much luck out of it as possible. I expect it feels worse in the battle frontier because you don't have the flutes and the full heals to do something about it.

all the super-haxing that happens to me is either legends breaking out of 50+ ultra balls, or having to do with double team or crits in the battle frontier.

or, today, on XD, when jynx was faster than my houndoom, and houndoom hit itself in confusion 4 times as much as it hit the opponent.

I was on the last tournament in the battle dome, then, two matches before Tucker, I find a Sweeping Aroma Lady, with a Rhydon that uses earthquake and OHKO's my Scizor and Swampert


In the Battle Palace, i finally get to Spenser here is what happens: (hoping swampert uses ice beam)

Crobat used Double team!
Swampert appears incapable of using its power!
Crobat used Double Team!
Swampert used Ice beam! Swampert's attack missed!
Crobat used Toxic!
Swampert! come back! Go Raichu!
Crobat used Double Team!
Raichu Used Flash! It missed!
Crobat used Double Team!
Raichu Used Flash! It missed!
Crobat used Double Team!
Raichu Used Flash! It missed!

Raichu (FINALLY) uses Shock Wave! takes out half crobat HP

I lost that match
I kinda tweaked the story, but raichu DID kkeep using Flash and thunder while i was yelling out "SHOCK WAVE DAMMIT! SHOCK WAVE!!!!"

Sometimes it is so easy to forget the amount of times where I had the upper hand in the game then won it so easy giving me bragging rights, etc...

Well there are 2 challenges that certainly have not been so easy and have humbled me, and they are: getting gold in battle factory & gold shield in battle tower. It just seems impossible to accomplish.

like when your opponent uses only one sand-attack and you miss five times in a row before fainting, or when latias has one hp is asleep and still breaks out of 25 ultra balls.........yeah

In Pokemon Colosseum, I remember that when Hydro Pump was used against me, it always hit and it made it hard for me to train my shadow pokemon.

Sometimes its so easy...Yet other times you just get SO MAD at your game.

I know everything is random and all, but there were a couple of times where I felt the game is against me. For instance, one time while battling against Steve in Sapphire, my Swampert was going against his Claydol. A few times I almost defeated that Claydol but then Steve keep always using Hyper Potion on that Claydol and also that Claydol keep almost defeating my Swampert. Eventually my Swampert has only Ground Type attacks, leaving those attacks against Claydol useless, and I had to switch to another Pokemon.

Sometimes I get so frustrated with contests. I even gets frustrated with 50th or more battles in Battle Tower and I even gets frustrated with Battle Frontier (tad harder than Gyms). But hey, I like challenge! ^_^

Many, many times. Here's a few examples(not all battle form):

1. Poison Sting always seems to poison my pokemon.

2. Electrike used Thunderwave! Wild Roselia is parlyzed! It may be unable to move!
Wild Roselia used Stun Spore! Electrike is parlyzed! It may be unable to move!
Electrike is parlyzed! It can't move!
Wild Roselia used Growth!
Electrike is parlyzed! It can't move!
Wild Roselia used Growth!
Electrike is parlyzed! It can't move!
Wild Roselia used Absorb! (Takes away about 1/3 of Electrike's HP)
Electrike is parlyzed! It can't move!
Wild Roselia used Absorb! (Takes away another 1/3 of Electrike's HP)
Electrike is parlyzed! It can't move!
Wild Roselia used Absorb! (Takes away the last of Electrike's HP)
Electrike fainted!

I was so mad that I went off for the next ten minutes searching for only Roselia's and killing them with my super powerful Blaziken. (For some reason, I do that often when a wild pokemon makes one of mine faint)

3. My opponant uses a status condition-afflicting attack and I'm thinking 'Please don't be parlyzed/poisoned/confused/burned/asleep/frozen' the screen shows "<insert pokemon's name> was <insert status condition I was hoping not to get>!"

4. One of my pokemon attacked itself about 6 times in a row in its confusion untill it finally knocked itself out.

And there are many others that I don't remember now.
