If they eat meat all the time, where do you think they get it? They must eat tofu and it just looks like meat. Or maybe they're Fruitarians and only eat things if they are dead and fallen of a tree.
There's evidence that supports the idea that real animals coexist with Pokémon in the universe of the anime. It's just been downplayed in more recent episodes. So any meat product seen on the show probably comes from its real-life source.
My friend made a Pokemon fanfic where every one of the characters didn't know what animals were! My friend had assumed that animals didn't exist in the Pokemon world in the stories, so I had to make up an excuse so that people wouldn't butcher Pokemon for food.
But yeah, I'm sure that meat proteins are indeed butchered from animals, but they don't show the animals much in the anime.
The only time we saw animals was in early Kanto. When game levels were mentioned to exist.
Then again, there's the "we heard real-life nature sounds in the background of every episode of the original ever" arguement, so I guess they do exist.
Of course, I don't think we've ever heard the nature sounds in the dub.
The ONLY episode I had ever seen with real animals was "Pokemon Shipwreck" when Ash looked out the window and said "What?! Fish Swimming?! But that must mean.. that this ship has sunk!"

I read the Farfetch'd entries and it doesnt say anything other than there are good sticks and bad sticks. Thanks for the fish picture. But surley there must be more than that.
