Well, how ARE we going to get a G/S remake, if the G/S included a full fledged Kanto in the game?!

I'm pretty sure Game Freak doesn't have the patience to make another Kanto after FR/LG!

We all are praying for a new G/S but
the facts are that it is just not coming.
Since there was a Kanto in the last gen
They may do a remake in the 5th gen.

I wish we had one, but I don't think they will make in this generation. If they do, I think it will release in end or nearly end of this year.

actually that was crystal that took you back to Kanto and this is a gold/silver rermake so no. they dont have to put kanto back in.

I would like that. It would be easier to get Ho-oh, Lugia and the other legends. And Silver´s my favorite pokémon game.

That's like saying GF doesn't have the patience to make another Kanto after RBY.

Also, I see no point at all to a GSC remake, as FRLG were made so we could get Kanto Pokemon in Advance and we can already get all Johto things from Advance/DP.

no we can't, if people don't have collo or XD or tickets for the events, then they can't get lugia or ho-oh,

Uh, did you PLAY Gold and Silver? You could go to Kanto there too. Crystal was only marginally changed from Gold and Silver in the addition to a female player character and more backstory about the Unown and the Beasts, and the addition of the first Battle Tower.

Anyways, there is nothing to say that the whole entirety of Johto/Kanto can't be redone in this generation. In fact, since it's now on the DS, they could do what Fire Red/Leaf Green did with the GBA and make this Kanto better(even include the Safari Zone!) because of the memory contents. They could make cuts elsewhere(cutting out contests and Pofin mini-game, like they did in Fire Red/Leaf Green) to conserve memory.

EDIT: Sorry, I had to put this in; if you remember, in Fire Red/Leaf Green, Pokemon were unable to evolve to new forms until you got the National Pokedex. They could apply that in the remake by making it impossible to evolve Pokemon to their new forms until you get the National Dex, which would only require seeing all the Johto Pokemon. This would prevent people from trying to evolve Sneasel or breed Sudowoodo.

I love this quote. It reminds me of the unbridled optimism I had as a youth.

"I doubt they'll make a new game, since they haven't announced it yet. But if they do, surely they can make one in the next six months." x_x

Here's a history lesson for all you youngin's out there: The Atari 2600 game "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" had a 6 month development time (production began after the movie was in theaters, and it was on store shelves by Christmas that year). The game is most famous for being a) absolutely terrible; b) the single most obvious cause of the 1983 games industry recession; and c) currently buried out in the New Mexico desert. I wish I was joking.

Who knows, maybe they’ll make a game where you can choose where to start: Kanto, Jotho or Hoenn and than travel to the other regions. However I'm afraid such optimism would be called foolishness.

pokemon silver was a great game!
however, i highly doubt GameFreak will do a remake of G/S, not for awhile neway. infact, i might aswell point out that fresh new/intuitive games sell beter than remakes. thats a fact. and it goes to show why nintendo is so successful atm. Other game companies, and hollywood are mainly doing remakes of older games/films/themes, and theres not much creativity going around nemore, especially in the states.

This is 4th Gen Discussion. Not "I HOPE WE GET GSC REMAKES THIS GEN!"

When will you people get the hint that it's not gonna happen? :\

And full fledged Kanto? GSC didn't even have a complete Kanto. Nearly everything great about Kanto was GONE. Safari Zone was closed. Unknown Dungeon was closed off. Seafoam Islands was reduced to a cave. And even Cinnabar Island was no where to be found.
