Everyone's evolving!....Except Ash?

red2000

Liger Zero!!!
What has happened to our once Good Hero of the pokemon world, Since the Battle Frontier Ash has gone down hill as a trainer and a character, and it seems now that almost all of his Friends and Rivals have surpassed him, I mean in the old days Ash was the most powerful trainer of the group now look at him ever since he came to Sinnoh he's lost Battle after Battle, lost to the first 2 Sinnoh gym leaders, Lost 2 Paul { a rookie trainer }, Failed to capture a Buiezel that he clearly had an advantage over, and he just seems to have gotten worse, and all his victories have been cheap

Then there's Ash's team Pikachu, Aipom, Staravia and Turtwig, now the team it's self is fine but the pokemon themselves are retarted, Staravia is falling into the same pattern as Pidgeotto in never winning a battle, Turtwig while good, seems to lose to pokemon it could typically beat, and finally the teams Staple Pikachu..... well you've heard the complaints, Aipom is the only one seeming 2 pull her weight

But my main point was to bring to the light how much Ash, HASNT CHANGED,I mean look at Misty, now the Cerulean Gym Leader, Brock is a good battler and seems to gained alot of knowledge about pokemon and pokemon health worthy of notice from Prof. Oak and Nurse Joy, May was able 2 make it 2 the Semi-Finals of her 2nd Grand Festival, were as Ash cant even break top 8 in his 3rd league competiton, and Dawn seems like she even will surpass Ash soon enough

I just wanna know Y would the main Protagonist of a Story be so lame, In BF and Hoenn he was really good, and he was always my fav Character, can any of you shed light on my question?

Zabi

Not really here.
You really have to work on your spelling... A giant rant with many mistakes, like retarted. It is retarded. >>

So what if Ash is losing, if you noticed, he is always vowing when he sees Paul to beat him. So what if he lost once to Paul, Roark, and Gardenia, which wasn't even a gym battle. He has to start off somewhere. And if you haven't noticed, Ash is training to be stonger, so if he loses once or twice, who really cares, as he is working harder to achieve his goal.

So what if he couldn't catch Buizel, it just means Buizel was stronger than him at the time.

And if you think Brock is a good battler, you are WAY off, as he never battles anymore. All of his pokemon rot in their balls.

Are you watching the anime? A Staravia that doesn't win? So the win in the gym doesn't count? A weak Turtwig? So defeating Rampardos and a fastest Turtwig makes him weak?

Pikachu always have problems at the beginning of the seasons. Is not a big deal.
People want Ash to win everytime and that would be boring and repetitive.

Yeah, ok!
Technically Ash's losing streak started in Battle Frontier with Anabel, and that carried over into D/P.

Its funny, because back in Hoenn the writers wanted to show how much Ash had grown from Kanto-Johto, which is why he beat all the Gym leaders in Hoenn on his first try except for Brawly. They gave him powerful Pokemon, such as Grovyle, Swellow became the first bird Pokemon to become a powerhouse in battle, Corphish was always a good fighter, Glalie and Donphan were both tahnks, and with the exception of Torkoal (who later redeemed itself by nearly taking down Registeel), his AG team was probably the most powerful team he ever had.

While his D/P team is bound to become strong once they start evolving and we get further into the series, right now I wouldn't say they're much to write home about. Aipom's power seems to vary per battle, sometimes its strong, other times it gets knocked out easily. Its the same with Staravia. Turtwig managed to have some good wins, but I don't think it'll truly become powerful until its a Grotle, which will hopefully happen shortly after Movie 10.

Once we find out what Ash's last two captures are in Sinnoh, and his Pokemon continue to evolve, his team is going to become much better and he'll probably be winning battles easier.

I think he also lost to the Twins the first time around, unless the battle was interrupted.

It's quite annoying that Pikachu loses so often, it's fair enough the other pokemon lose, he's just caught them.

All im trying to say is Ash should be alot better than he is, For someone to have won against the Orange Crew Leader and to have Become Champion of the Battle Frontier, even with new pokes he should be better than he is, I mean come on he fell for the same strategy twice, with the whole Elekid/Electivire using Protect when he uses Volt Tackle, I have no doubt he'll get better down the line but It just doesnt make sense for him to be at the level he at, he should be alot better than he is

I.E. Staravia beat one Cherubi, and lost to a Turtwig twice, Turtwig is pretty good, I was referring to that loss agaist Buizel, and Brock is a good battler, Croagunk, Sudowoodo, and Marshtomp all kick ***

^Marshtomp is gone, doesn't count as of now. Croagunk is his only good one seeing as Sudowoodo only beat TR. Ash is just fine, give him time to get stronger, he does only have 4 Pokemon as of now.

People don't get that Ash doesn't have the same pokemons that he had in the Orange League or the Batte Frontier. Given, he won those but he had a team that was already trained and that he had for a long time, this team is practically new except for Pikachu and maybe Aipom and Aipom is winning. You can't ask Ash to do the things he did in the BF because this team is not as strong and experienced as the BF one or the Orange League one.

And well, Brock is not the one who always battle. He has the best team e has ever had now. Sudowoodo is awesome and Croagunk is pretty much everyone's favorite and Happiny...that thing was freakishly strong in her premier episode.

freakish is a little bit of an understatement if you ask me.....

but yeah, don't count him out just yet, he's got a long way to go, and just wait until either aipom or turtwig (hopefully turtwig) evolve, then we'll be seeing something.

Sonjo

Shinji> you.
This is something i've been noticing too. It seems Ash, instea of getting better, it getting worse as his journey progresses. It's just embarresing if you ask me.

Happiny is a she...:(

....i was talking about ash.... -_-;

also, everyone reaches a plateau sometime in their life, even if its fiction... >_>

like i said before, patience is a virtue (one i seldom utilize, but in this case, i'll make a *small* esception)

His team isn't weak at all. He's started out in a new region and we're still fairly early.

Taillow sucked big time in early AG, Treecko was good, but then again so is Turtwig. Pikachu has been set to reset as it does at the start of every season, and Aipom has done pretty well; beating Roserade, Chimchar and Geodude.

Basically his team is still in its early stages, its just because people became too used to him with his most powerful team and expect him to win all the time now. Seeing Ash loose is a good thing, because it makes him stronger and shows development in his character.

pokémon animé would be even more boring if ash would defeat his opponents easily....

Especially if he defeated them with Pokemon he just got.

yeh i wouldent be surprised if his new Sinnoh pokes lose but Pikachu? Losing to a rookie trainer? Thats sad..That pikachu has been training in 4 reigons now, it should be pretty unstoppable but watev, the anime pepople gotta make ash win more. He shuold of beat roark on his first try. I have noe clue how he can beat the Battle frotier who would own roark, paul and other ppl but he can beat them but not a wimpy rock gym leader. Also I hate Paul, he's a dick and i dunno why he thinks hes the best, he's a rookie...
