Evolution: PMD DX

Do your player character and partners evolutions still have a range of expressions, or do they just have the default amount non player options have? Also, do they still perform certain actions like the wake up animation?

I haven't evolved yet, so I can't answer from experience, but I have read that your character still does have sleeping and waking up animations. Not sure about the expressions.

Most evolutions have 3 portraits unless they appeared in the story like Charizard. Neutral, smiling, and distressed.

Does Charizard as the player use the extra expressions?

I think so but I cant be sure because its not a Pokemon I used. But that's typically how it worked in older PMD games.

I just Evolved my partner and at the very least they lose there team Scarfs. So far I only saw a happy face but I assume there are at least 3 as was mentioned before.
