Evolve pokemon with a stone....will it learn new moves?

Ok this has been bugging me forever.....If you evolve your pokemon with a stone or trade will it still learn new moves or will you have to wait until it learns all its moves?

it depends on the volutions move sets. lets say delcatty it only has 4 moves, but jolteon has more, and can learn stuff

But say you're trying to evolve pikachu with a thunderstone....pikachu has more than 4 moves (it still learns new moves at level 50) but you evolved pikachu before it learned those moves will raichu (4 moves) eventually learn them?

take a look at the pokedex on serebii's main site.....
some pokemon will learn certain moves only after you use the stone on them... some will learn some of the same moves... some won't learn anymore moves.

It depends on what Pokemon it is. Let's say that we're going to evolve an Eevee into a Vaporeon, it would learn quite a few moves upon leveling up. But if we were going to evolve a Pikachu into Raichu, then it never learn any moves upon leveling up. If it evolves through trade, then it should still learn moves upon leveling up. Like I said, it all depends on what Pokemon it is.

I think it has something to do with type;;ie:

Eevee to Flareon, Eevee wouldn't learn any fire moves, therefore it must evolve to learn Flamethrower, etc.

Pikachu to Raichu, Same type, Raichu won't learn many new moves if evolved earnly - - better stock up on TMs.
