I was just thinking
what happens to a pkemon inside when it evolves.
how does it work? and if a pokemon evolves in to something much bigger... how does it rapidly make more blood... what do you think?

Well obviously he/she knows that (at least I hope). They're just thinking how the hell it would happen.

Hello
Instantaneous mutation is really complicated.
It's not exactly common science.
Then again it's more like science fiction.
Anyways, I suppose it varies from Pokemon to Pokemon.

mjeh mjeh mjeh, pokemon isn't real 0_o YES WE KNOW THAT!!!
it's about the possible theories people.

anyway back on-topic, pokemon strangely evolves fast which is a uncommon sight for us humans since these things usually take millions of years, when i was younger i allways thought it had to do with that the growing strength of the pokemon gave it the power to make time flow faster in a short period in order to make it evolve, though that's just a theory.

It's interesting to note that the ways Pokemon are made, via evolution and hatching eggs, are always gray areas in the games. We've seen professors completely baffled by evolution and breeding and just have no idea what is going on.

I think some of the evolution lines kind of got mixed up too. Bagon is a BABY DRAGON who dreams of flying, Sheglon is a shell like dragon waiting to evolve to fly, and then it evolves into...Salamence?? I think the Flygon and Salamence lines got mixed up somehow.

We need a thread that's called ''What the hell is a Pokemon!?'' nah I'm kidding..

Well this can't really be explained...its' kinda complicated to understand...

i suppose if you wanted to make pokemon realistic, then you'd have to make the pokemon evolution happen at a slower rate, say over a week or two where the cells slowly mutate to eventually form a different pokemon. that way a pokemon can evolve relatively safely and also have time to adjust to its new body.

So, Bagon changes from blue to green?

Seriously this is as ;083; as the theory that Venonat was suppose to evolve into Butterfree.

I don't think it's unrealistic at all. After all, most human beings grow primarily at night when the body is typically at rest. I'm also sure most of us have probably already gone through puberty and experienced growth spurts 1st hand.

I don't think it is any different with pokemon. While we may call it evolution, essentially it is really just going through puberty and experiencing growth spurts. The pokemon are growing from their child and adolescent stage to their adult stage. The best example would be the caccoon series of pokemon, because we do have moths and butterflies in real life. It is not that long of a process for evolution to be complete.

Belgon, Shelgon, Flygon doesn't at least make a little bit of sense?

They aren't called Bagon and Shelgon in the Japanese version - remember that. Flygon is however, called Flygon in the Japanese version.

I wish Nintendo of America had chosen different English names for Bagon/Shellgon; then we wouldn't constantly get people going "lol, Look how similar Bagon and Flygon's names are; I think they got the lines mixed up! " >_>

I've actually never seen a massive amount of posts like that, and certainly never on this forum. The only reason it was bought to my attention was due to a post in another gaming board.

If it was real, it would probably be caused by not a spontaneous mutation as suggested, but more like normal growth at a speeded up scale, like the growth hormones building up but not being able to release, until something triggers it. This something is often either a level up, or in the anime a crisis or stressful situation (often caused by Team Rocket). If it was random mutation like real evolution, the end result would not be certain; as it is it's more like a life cycle.

When I first played, I thought evolution was mostly a way of showing the pokemon growing up-going from childhood to adulthood, and not really a full blown evolution. I consider some poekmon to be real evolutions of others, though-for example, Minium and pulsie are part of the same evolutionary chain of pikachu. Pikachu is first found in the forests and the only predictor is a bird that it can defend itself from. Pulsie and minum look like pikachu, except smaller-probably so there less interesting to the gulpin and electrike that live in the area.

I tend to think of a lot of random things...but i'm certain there's some loopholes in this statement somewhere.

I think it's cause when it feels powerful enough a force from it's blood multiplys it's veins so it can get bigger cause the more blood the bigger the person is
