"Evolving shinies" HELP!!!

when shiny pokemon evolve do they still stay shiny? I'm confused!!! and what are they chances of getting shinies? i know how to but on a scale from 1-10 what are the chances?

The chances of finding a shiny is 1 in 8192. And shiny Pokemon will remain shiny through evolution, don't worry!

Why wouldn't it be shiny once you evolve? That would be stupid considering it might have taken a long time to find the pre-evo shiny form beforehand...

If you want to see a shiny pokemon evovle go on youtube.com and type in shiny pokemon and there is a video with a trainer battling and his shiny treecko evovles.
