EV's?

i read the think on serebii about ev's but most of the numbers cant be true i gave my latios 10 calcium and it only got 11 stat points to special attack it is level 40 just caught been in 0 fights serebii says each pil gives 10 evs and 4 evs = 1 stat point so it should have got 25 up to speacial attack no? and when i fight magnemites for special attack ev training i fight like 12 per lvl and get 2 or 3 up to speacial attack why is this? no im not at max evs i talked to the guy in slateport any help?

your latios must be modest, mild, rash, or quiet.

it only gets all 25 points once it gets to level 100. at level 40, it only gets 40/100*25=10 extra points.

if you get a pokemon at level 5, it is sometimes possible to max out its EVs by level 20. if they got all 63 stat points without having to get to 100, that'd be pretty insane at lower levels.

ok thx that makes more scense yes my latios is mild when should i give it the pils now or at lvl 100?

give the vitamins, and do all EV training, before it KOs anything that gives an EV that you don't want it to have (like attack). otherwise, its EVs will be screwed forever (with the exception of the EV berries in emerald.)
