This is pokemon Emerald btw

im beggining to EV train my beldum, but theres nothing really to train on when im only lvl 5....

so my question is that if I make my Beldum hold exp share an i go fight some Shuppets for ATK EVs, will my Beldum get the EVs through exp share, or would the pokemon actually fighting it get it.

if EVs do not work through exp share, how do I EV train my Beldum.

PS-does the day-care give EVs? could i use teh day-care to get to lvl 20 or so then EV train with my Beldum alone?

Yes. With Exp. Share, Beldum will get any EVs the battling Pokémon gets.

And the Day Care doesn't gives EVs.

nope exp share is only exp points. cuz then u'd get pokes with 1/2 ev's which would be pretty weird.u should try evolving him then fight a lot of weak pokes with att. ev's so then he wont level up as fast and still get all the ev's.

also, EVs aren't divided like EXP is. say you have a swampert with a choice band and a metang holding an EXP share. swampert KOs a shuppet. swampert gets 2 EVs (doubled because of macho brace) and metang gets one (just as if it had KOed the shuppet itself.

your beldum will still get the normal amount of evs a pokemon gives!:)

If you're using the EXP Share, both Pokemon will get the actual EVs the defeated Pokemon gives. Example: Groudon in the first slot; Pidgey with EXP Share. Groudon defeats Spinda (+1 Sp Atk); Groudon gets +1 Sp Atk; Pidgey get +1 Sp Atk.

The daycare doesn't give you any EVs.
