Eygptian-themed pokemon...

I have been thinking about this for quite some time now, and i have been wondering, what pokemon are Egyptian-themed/based off Egyptian influences?

Egyptian themed Pokemon are the following and why:

Espeon
Umbreon
Lucario - Based on Anubis and Jackal
Regirock ------v
Regice ---> because of battle pyramid
Registeel------^
Absol - Sphinx
Blaziken - Ra, Sun God with a Falcon Head .
Unown
Meowth - Pheobe-like charm on it's forehead
Persian - Not only did they originate from Africa (Persia in most cases), cats were
considered sacred to the Egyptian people. (Applys to Meowth as well).
Camerupt - camel (Africa-themed in general)
Numel?
Dusclops - resembles a beckoning mummy
Gligar - a scorpion (kind of Africa-themed)
pinsir - (scarab) You sure it's not Stag Beetle?

I am sure there are more, but i can't remember them.

I think Weavile looks slightly Egyptian. With that crazy head dress and the jewel on its head. Aswell as the thing around its neck.

Ho-oh is based of the japonese phoenix so thats out. Moltres is a western phoenix so he's out too. Though there is small mention of the phoenix in Egytion myth.

Yes, when it fainted in Colosseum (due to longer running fainting animations), Absol sat down like a Sphinx.

Nosepass...no. It's based off a compass...

Houndoom is Egypian-y themed...with it looking sort of like an egyptian dog...

I'd say Sneasel a bit too, as the eye looks very influenced by it, and it just seems to have that vibe about it.

Never understood the Absol=sphinx thing. Absol is a harbinger of doom and disaster while in mythology, the sphinx was a stoic guardian. Don't see the connection.
