Fail to find proper screen mode for gr2d <-- What do I do?

Let's Battle!
I downloaded a game called Maple Story, I've been playing it for about 2 weeks now, and today when I booted up the game, an error message showed up.

I've installed DirectX, nVidia and all sorts of GFX junk, but it still won't work?

EDIT: I did a System Restore to when it did work, but I still like to know what the problem is.
