Evolved form of arulu

Hmmm... The round ears remind me of a koala. Is that what you were going for? From that there’s...

Walla - Koala & Water
Woalla - Variation of above
Aqualla - Aqua & Koala

well... it, as well as it's pre-evo, was originally based on a australian water rat when i drew it all that long ago.... but my region is based on tohaku, japan

i like the last name, though :3

i think i'll take it

thanks :3

which one's next in line? :)

Yes, I meant kawaii. Thank you; I had no idea how to spell it! :)

Variants on the name were Tōhoku-chihō & Tōhoku-nihon.

kaimu (Kawaii + Shamu?)

A cute whale.

Tezaqua - Godzilla was originally Gojira, which apparently meant whale-ape. Katsumi Tezuka played Godzilla; this combines his name with aqua.

Aqushiro - Ishirō Honda sirected Godzilla. His name + Aqua

Mistale - Misty + Whale. Kasumi was Misty's name in Japan, & Katsumi made me think of her. :)

water type - first stage

Cute. It looks like a blue clownfish. That makes me think of Finding Nemo.

Captain Nemo owned the Nautilus submarine 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. That book was written by Jules Verne.

Unfortunately, none of those facts lead to ideas. What about scientific names for clownfish?

sebae, from Amphiprion sebae, variations zebea, shebae.

It's evolved form, frishee, water/fairy type - 2nd stage.

Looks like a fancy goldfish, but Goldeen's already taken, so... How bout something from the Goldfish's scientific name, Carassius auratus?

Variations of Carassius - Arais, Sius, Seaus, Carsea, Carisea

Of Auratus - Aquatus, Aurasea, Auratuff, Aquatuff, Aquaaura, Aquara,

(Some of these I've combined with aqua, sea, or aura, because those seemed to be natural homophones of the words in play.)

fabreeze

normal/fairy type - 2nd stage

Looks like a squirrel. Or a Skunk? Aesop told a lot of tales with animal characters. They're technically fables, not fairy tales, but that's close enough.

Variations:

Aesop, Aeso, Esop, Eso, Esoo, Aes, Aesoo,
