This is my first sprite. The shading is really bad, but I can fix it. This is an element that I made up, fairy type. Kind of strange, I'll admit. The name is based on the word "adorable" because it is, and the word "ruff" is a synonym for "hair." I looked it up in the thesaurus.

Comments are welcome.

It's a really good idea for a sprite but it's very badly done.... the lines around it should be darker. Overall, a pretty good sprite.

Your very first sprite as in never doing a recolor/revamp/mix? You really shoudnt fly right to doing scratch sprites, my friend. Try recolors, then mixes to learn what sprites should look like.

As for this, it isnt horrible for a first sprite. Needs shading, proper outlines and some shaping to it, cant really tell what it is suposed to be. Try looking at some tutorials if you have not done so already.

Yeah, this is my very first sprite. As in never doing a recolor/revamp/remix. I prefer scratch sprites because I'm not using anyone elses idea for my sprite.

I made an evolution of Adoruff, I think it's better. Its name is Hoaruff.

The name is a combination of "hoary," which is a synonym for "old/ancient," and "ruff," again the synonym for hair.

Its nice to be able to work right from your own ideas, but you need practice first.

The Hoaruff has more form to it than the other, but its still very 2D with no shading, a boring pose and all black outlines. Only sugestion, if you don't like recoloring/mixing, is to at least read a tutorial.
