Depends. Are you going for a SD/Chibi style? If so, then you have some proportion issues to work out. If not, you still have some proportion issues to work out. The head is far too large for its body, but the body looks too large for its head, regardless of style. Also, you have detail; just not good detail. Drop the toothyness. It doesn't fit. Also, please make your images smaller/get a better image host. It's taking forever to load the Blastoise pic.
You seem to have geometry and stuff like that down pat (it shows in tour Blastoise), but other anatomical things distract me from the positive points. The right hand looks a litte wierd (I know its from the front view; that's not my point). The arms look a little small and stubby for a Blastoise. But you have the basic anatomy down, and that's a good thing. I like your pose. I think it would look a million times better if it was inked/CGed, though. Keep on improving, man.
