from all the series that I own and have seen. I couldn't possibly select a few over others. I don't know why, but I just can't... I'll try to catagorize my selections for simplest results ^^..

Serious - Nausicaa, Princess Mononoke
Overall fun - Sonic the Hedgehog
Sport - Hikaru no Go! and Princes of Tennis
Humor - Love Hina, Slayers
Action - Hellsing

These are of course currect favorites, it might change down the road as there are tons of Animes I have yet to see, as well as my opinion which can change over time from animes that I have currently seen and own.
