GSC because for its time it is very advanced. I also realize that people will say the 3rd and second were better because they added even more pokemon and such, but you have to remember how each was released and your feeling when playing each one for the first time.

My favorite is 3rd generation because it has the battle frontier, great pokemon like Metagross, double battles, you can fight with the gym leaders 5 times, etc. I love it.

I would say that the second generation is the best. The most original and creative ideas for new pokes came out in this generation and it had some great legendaries imo. Lugia and ho-oh along with the dogs made for a great generation. So, I would say Johto generation is my favorite.

Definitely the 2nd. Why? It was my first video game ever, and at the time the graphics seemed awesome. I also remember searching all around the place, and my brother finally found Lugia (he had Silver btw, I had Gold), we raced to see who could catch Lugia first. Okay, yeah, at the time the whole game seemed endless to me. I get nostalgia from it a lot xD

Catching up on XY
Surprisingly, I liked the second gen best. Even though the anime for it stunk, It had the coolest and some of the best Pokemon.

Second generation. There's just something about it that makes it so fun. It's like the Empire Strikes Back of Pokemon generations. Seriously, they need to remake the second gen games like they did for the first gen.
