Favorite Nigh-Unstoppable Powerful Pokemon Trainers

shoz999

Back when Tigers used to smoke.
As the title says, this is a thread about your favorite Pokemon trainers whose team's strength are so monstrous, insanely reaching almost nearly unstoppable levels of strength. These are the strongest of the strong, trainers who can be called Pokemon Masters if you will.

I'll start off with a favorite and what I believe to be the second strongest Pokemon trainer in the entire Pokemon series, games, anime and manga included. Giovanni from Pokemon Adventures. Some spoilers below.

The man who shows no mercy.

If you never read the Pokemon Adventures manga, which I highly recommend you do so, but are familiar with the Pokemon anime, imagine the mind games and taunting of anime Nanu, the ruthlessness of Hunter J, the charisma of Generations Lysandre, the brute seemingly invincible strength of anime Cynthia, the intimidating glare and smirk of Paul rolled into one package with the voice and teacher-like attitude of the villain Slade from Teen Titans. You probably get Giovanni of Pokemon Adventures, the man who shows no mercy to those who dare challenge him, not as the Gym Leader of Viridian City but as the Leader of Team Rocket.

Some anime fans I know don't seem to take Giovanni seriously as a villain because of the anime's cartoonish portrayal of the character and that they rarely venture outside of the anime's depiction of Pokemon but those who do ventured outside were in for a shock, one fan I know stating she would not want to challenge Giovanni of Pokemon Adventures or at least not right away as Giovanni is so OP that he actually grew bored of his own strength, venturing outside of his ground-type specialty and into other kinds of types like water or bug. It wasn't until Red came and pushed Giovanni to his limits that he started using his ground-type Pokemon. Giovanni was impressed that Red manage to force him to use his original team of ground-types but this was not good news for Red because Giovanni's ground-types were just on an entirely different level, easily demolishing much of Red's team full of experienced Pokemon to the point that Red found himself so exhausted that he passed out after the battle was over. To get an idea just how strong his own original team of ground-types are, his Rhyhorn, yes the unevolved form of Rhydon, managed to tailwhip Red's Aerodactyl with his extremely tiny tail, sending Aerodactyl crashing into the ground. His Rhydon, the evolved form of Rhyhorn, is so powerful that it caused a massive fissure consuming the entire Viridian Gym and that's just his Pokemon. Giovanni's capabilities of a trainer also speak for itself through his battle against Lance's Pokemon, which are sometimes thought to be stronger than Giovanni's and yet ultimately loss to Giovanni's weaker Beedrill and Rhyhorn because simply Giovanni was a smarter and faster Pokemon trainer. Giovanni's Pokemon's strengths runs deep in his philosophy but his skills as a Pokemon trainer runs even deeper, that you need more than simple commands to efficiently use powerful Pokemon. Speed, mind and skill are also essential and he manage to defeat Lance's Pokemon at his strongest when everyone else just had a very difficult time and that's just Gen 1. He returns, intimidating Pokemon Champions and legendary Pokemon you could probably not even imagine, his Pokemon's strengths and his own strengths surpassing most powerful Pokemon trainers.
