For me it was always Cloyster. Something about it seemed to shout out awesome. I used to catch a Shellder and immediately evolve it, without realising it couldnt learn any more decent moves.

Charizard was/is my favorite Pokemon. From first gen I also liked: Mewtwo, Mew, Articuno, Scyther, Dragonite, Venusaur, Blastoise, Arcanine, Ninetails, Moltress, Zapdos, Gengar, Alakazam, Sandslash, Gyrados, Pikachu, Arabok, Magmar. There are so many that I like

Charizard and Pidgeot, every time I started a new game on my red version I always had those two on my team. Snorlax was also one of my favourites and of course Mew.

I liked a lot of Generation 1 Pokemon, but my favorites include Golduck, Raichu, and Mew. I remember liking Golduck when it appeared in the anime, and I always thought that Raichu was cool since it evolved from Pikachu. I was obsessed with Mew when the first Pokemon movie was released. There are other Generation 1 Pokemon that I'm fond of, but I wouldn't say that they're my favorites.

Somehow, the obvious differences could not be seen by my 6 year old eyes xD
