Pikachu, Link and Young Link.

Just because Pikachu's cute, doesn't mean it can't kick butt. Speed, a great variety of attacks, plenty of powerful moves as well as strategic ones and also one of the best moves for getting back onto the stages again.

Link and Young Link also have a large variety of moves, which can range from skilled sword play, to bows and arrows, boomerang and bombs. I like them both equally because Link has the power, while Young Link has the speed.

I own the 5th gen
whenever it comes to Vs. matches, I prefer selecting the "random" button hidden in the corner. I'm not very choosey, and it gives me the opportunity to play as anyone out of SSBM's wide cast. However, out of all the characters I've played as, I think I most prefer Link (gotta love that sword spin he does), Marth (been a while since I played SSBM, so I forget what it was I liked about him over Roy), Pikachu (though he sucks when his opponent's underneath a roof), and Luigi (I love that fire uppercut of his. It's rather destructive at close-range, and easier to pull off than Purin's sleeping move, and no consequence of falling asleep when you screw up neither). Mewtwo and Samus are also neat for having projectiles that are very powerful when charged up all the way (I like Samus's Screwball, too), and Ness has a brutal forward+A attack (although, I prefer to abuse SMASH moves more often).

I play with Pikachu occasionally, but for the most part it's Yoshi.

I can never seem to do well with Yoshi unfortunately. He'd have to be my worst character...

Mainly use Pikachu. I'm just so used to playing it. But Yoshi pwnz too. xD And can get reaaally annoying.
I can't. I just can't, use Samus. I'm so terrible with her for some reason. No wonder I can't beat the event "Cold Armor". x.x *explodes*
