Favorite unspecified gender character from Nintendo

Just because it needed to be done. I'd say that there are enough Nintendo characters for this to be a poll.

Example:
The majority of Pokemon can be either male or female
We do not know what gender Pikmin are
Most legendary Pokemon are genderless
Yoshi's gender is debatable... he looks male but can reproduce
We do not know if Metroid monsters are male or female

My vote is for Yoshi.

Birdo is probably the most mysterious character when it comes to gender. According to the US manual (SNES version) Birdo is a male who would rather be called Birdetta, but now it seems to be feminine and seems to be together with Yoshi in sports games. I just thought it counted towards the topic...

Birdo IS female. Her Japanese name is Catherine, and prefers being called Cathy. So there you go.

Yoshi, although they always refer to it as a he, he can reproduce, as stated. o_o
