Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future

Favourite Disney movies

Pixar>DW in all points other than the first two Shrek movies.

As a kid I thrived on Disney movies. Bug's Life was a favorite, as was Hercules, and The Jungle Book was my personal favorite.

I grew up with the Disney Renaissance (90s) and so have special affection for The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Aladdin, Hercules (my fave of all time!), The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas, Mulan, and barely squeezing into the end of that category, The Emporor's New Groove.

But being a snob about the newer Disney/Pixar movies has come back to bite me. I took one look at the trailers for Tangled and thought 'bleugh - not touching that with a ten foot pole'. It was on the Disney Channel the other night; I grudgingly gave it a try, and I can quite honestly say it ranks right up there with the aforementioned. It was gorgeous - outdid The Princess and The Frog by freakin miles. And Rapunzel...well, she's probably the most believable, lovable teenage female Disney have ever created. That scene where she's just run away and is going all bipolar about whether or not she's done the right thing made me laugh so hard I cried.

The Lion King has been the best Diseny film I've ever seen. I cry every time I see Mufassa die.

I love Disney movies in general. They're very inspiring to me.

My favorite Disney movie by far is the Lion King. First watched it when I was 5, remembered every character's lines after watching it twice, played Lion King during school play time with friends after watching it 20 more times,
cried every single time Simba cried out "Help! Somebody! Anybody!" during the most epic but worst scenes in all of animated cinema (my opinion of wildebeest were defined at this time), loved loved loved loved loved the music (the most moving and emotionally charged music I have ever heard) - Hans Zimmer is a true genius, loved the scenes (an African sunset in this film got the African tourism business booming), LOVED the villain (Scar is by far the best animated villain followed by Joker in Dark Knight in movies for me), hummed the songs and even sang them with friends on every school trip I went to, right up until high school and . . . .

Nothing beats Simba's epic walk in the rain o_O (probably watched this particular walk hmmmm a bit above the number of times I SRed for my lugia (3000 SRs)

My all-time Favorite Movie is by Far Lilo and Stitch since it teaches the Moral that anyone can become friends if they try hard enough.

Including Earthlings, aliens, and Experiments.

Hmmm...

~The Lion King (1 and 2)
~The Beauty and the Beast
~The Aristocats (I just watched that last night!! XD)
~Mulan (just the first one though; I wasn't crazy about the sequels)

As anyone said Lion King 1 1/2?

Anyway, I've got to see the Lion King in 3D.

I've got it too and I'm gonna see it in 3D too!

I totally Agree, even the tv series did the same, each experiement they met they eventually befriended, and gave them jobs suited towards their special talent.

Depends if you mean Pixar or Disney. yeah I know Disney bought Pixar so that they're techinically the same thing, but I think they still should be considered as two separated companies....Anyway I like Pixar more than Disnay overall.

My favs are Finding Nemo, Up (masterpiece), The Lion King 1 and 2 (3 also wasn't bad, but I prefer the first 2), Pirates of the Carabbean, 101 Dalmatians (1 and 2; the cartoons, not the live action), Mulan (not the 2nd), The Little Mermaid (1 and 2, haven't watched the 3rd but I heard it's a prequel of the 1st) and Hercules ( love Meg's song), Toy Story 3 (never really been a fan of the 1st 2 movies, but the 3rd was beautiful), Lilo and Stitch (only the 1st, the 2nd was stupid and the series were even worse)...

Let's suit up!
My all time favorite Disney movie would have to be the classic Alice In Wonderland which I've seen roughly about 34 times in my life. My second favorite would be Beauty and the Beast though. I think that's a romantic tale that many people of different ages can relate to.

I'm pretty sure they didn't get along with two of them and sent them to jail or something along those lines.

Anyways, not going to bother mentioning Pixar because I've loved every movie they've put out.

Mine would have to be Mulan and Aladdin as well as Lilo and Stitch.

Change is coming.
I always loved Dumbo and it's still one of my all time favourites. I do have to give a mention to some of my other favourites, The Lion King and Cinderella :)

Gus the fat mouse from Cinderella is awesome :D
