I only like Roark. I like how he works in the Mine and helps his city.

I am kinda indifferent to the other Sinnoh Gym Leaders tbh.

I thought it was handled well in the sense that it was quick, yet also memorable since not many Gym Leaders have been depressed just because they had weak opponents.

I thought it was a little more realistic, as a Gym Leader will obviously get tired of winning every now and then, and they want to prove that their opponents are worthy of the badge.

Gardenia. She has a remarkable style and her gym in Pokémon Platinum is absolutely awesome looking. I also remember her fear over phantoms, which is kind of funny for sure.

Imagine Gardenia’s reaction when she finds out about Pumpkaboo, Phantump, Decidueye and Dhelmise.

(If we ever get Sinnoh remakes - hopefully after when Sword/Shield come out - they’d most likely incorporate that.)

I like Roark because even though he was the 3rd Rock specialist Gym Leader, he had a cool miner design and I liked how his dad was also a Gym Leader who also worked at a mine.

Those are my favorites too especially Maylene since she eats a lot as seen in HGSS where she visits the Celadon City restaurant and participates in the eating contest. Crasher Wake cameo'd in that game too iirc.

Yeah, on the cliffs on Route 47. He was in Black & White as well, though I don't remember if he appeared in B2/W2.

I like how she also broke the Ice-type specialist's stereotype of being cold and aloof (I'm talking to you, Pryce) with her cheeriness and love of bad puns. "Candice is on fire! Hot enough to melt Ice-type Pokémon!" XD

I always thought that it was a fashion statement, similar to how Hikari (Dawn) wore skirts in D/P/Pt despite the region being prone to cold weather. Personally, I always wondered why Suzuna (Candice) didn't have a Manyula (Weavile) on her D/P team.

Ice type specialists wearing inappropriate clothing is kinda a meme at this point. Lorelei and Wulfric are just wearing singlet shirts, Bryce has half his torso exposed, Candice is out in a skirt and short sleeves. Pryce, Melony and (arguably) Glacia are the only ones dressed to handle the cold
