Gen 1: I actually like all three equally.
Gen 2: Cyndaquil and Totodile I like the most. Chikorita is cute but not very useful early game.
Gen 3: Torchic with Treecko being a close second.
Gen 4: I like them all
Gen 5: I like Tepig the most with the others being very close.
Gen 6: I’d say Froakie because of Greninja but everyone likes it so I have to say Fennekin. I like Chespin but Quilladin terrifies me with that blank serial killer smile it always has.
Gen 7: Rowlet because I wanted another owl Pokémon for years that was little. Plus Decidueye has a pretty interesting design and the animation for its exclusive Z-Move is just amazing to watch.

Kanto: This is a hard one as they're all pretty good, Probably the Charizard line.
Johto: They're all okay but none of them are great IMO Probably the Feraligatr line.
Hoenn: Again another good set, this is one where which one I prefer depends on my mood. I'll say the Blaziken line but I don't like Combusken.
Sinnoh: Torterra line, no contest. Though Grotle is kinda awkward.
Unova: Not a great trio IMO but Serperior's the best of this lot.
Kalos: Another lackluster set, I guess I'll go with the Greninja line
Alola: The Decidueye line without a doubt.
Galar (first stage only) : Sobble!

(III) Treecko - Cool sharp leaves? Check. Acrobatics for days? Double-check.
(IV) Turtwig - I love how it visually represents growth of plant life.
(V) Oshawott - Its samurai motif is second to none.
(VI) Fennekin - My favorite animal is the fox and Braixen is a very charismatic middle evolution.

Gen 1: Bulbasaur (Original grass toad, always loved this guy. I got one in LG Eevee and he's so reliable)
Gen 2: Chikorita (Underrated as hell, because of that I pick him.)
Gen 3: Treecko (Loved him from the start, Christmas Tree tail looking @ss mega made me love him more.)
Gen 4: Chimchar (The Anime made me LOVE this guy more than I used to okay? Shhh)
Gen 5: Snivy (Fell in love on sight and hasn't let me down in White 2, first feminine starter I loved and that started a trend for me in terms of the type of Pokemon I like to pick)
Gen 6: Fennekin (The final form brought a wrench in the norm of Fire Starters and picking it is XY easy mode imo)
Gen 7: Popplio (SEA LION SON THAT GOT TOO MUCH HATE and Primarina is BEAUTIFUL)
Gen 8: Scorbunny (Rabbit bias. Listen I grew to love his final form from the leaks and all I'll say is he is awesome and is my Galar son and I'm gonna LOVE using him and won't regret it)
